Hiya SW... how are you tonight?
LOL, I always reveal my identity on facebook, tsk! Just not to the banks! In fact, Ann knows my identity (just hope she isn't a granny stalker!) eeek - just kidding :rotfl: :rotfl:
Regards to you having no common sense - am I to assume you're a teacher?? hehe - just joking (NID is in a cheeky mood tonight) :whistle::whistle:
But seriously, its just a wee hobby of mine and all the varying permutations make it sound more confusing than it really is2010 - year of the troll

Well NID,
I am so grateful that this is your hobby rather than anything else! I am certainlh benefiting from your wisdom - haven't got much of that myself!
And I hadn't thought of becoming a granny stalker - now you have put the idea in my head! (Now I am being cheeky!)"What does not kill me makes me stronger". Frederich Nietzsche, 1844-1900.0 -
Once i didnt go into a room for 2 weeks because there was a bee in it! I locked the door and someone from work had to visit as my ironing board was in there and i couldn't do my ironing!
I am a teacher but spend most of the time laughing as my kids are funny and i am bonkers!
I left banking a long time ago as my bank seemed to only be interested in helping rich customers who had lawyers and influence on their side and not the poor people who had been ripped off and lost their life savings. It is good to know there are people like you around. I genuinely believe this. Thank you for making the world a better place.

what I meant was that if you spent your working hours sorting them out 'properly', sorting them out - metaphorically - would give them a shock.
It never ceases to amaze me how much you know, and how you can see straight away that a specific course of action is appropriate or not.
Mouseann, glad you are toughening up. Once you have ignored a few calls, or had them running round in circles with the security question dance, you'll wonder why you ever worried about it. Then once you've sent the 'communicate in writing letter' they haven't got a leg to stand on.

You know there is such a thing as a friendly stalker, kinda like Casper, the ghost variety! :rotfl: :rotfl:2010 - year of the troll

I'd probably need to tune up my Zimmer frame in order to stalk effectively!
But it is good to see the humorous side of all this - very necessary to keep a perspective."What does not kill me makes me stronger". Frederich Nietzsche, 1844-1900.0 -
Just thought i'd also add a part on here (from my pages Unenforceability & Template Letters III) regards to the actual processes and laws regarding the DCA's and bailiffs - basically what they can and cannot do. Now don't be getting freaked out thinking people will turn up at your door - they will not! I promise you that, and if they do then you'll have em in court quicker than their feet can touch the ground - but you have to pay attention and familiarise yourself with the processes etc involved.
So, looking at the links below the main one is the thread that lists the relevant letters and gives some idea's about the law and bailiffs rights etc (pretty much they have no rights). However the harassment letter templates etc are also enclosed, these are handy and you are free to send one whenever you feel a lender or DCA is hassling you too much.
You start with 13.1 and then if it continues you send 13.5 with template 13.4 being the final one. You are free to send each version 7 days after the last one, so long as the calls are continuing. It is also fine to skip the middle one and send the first, wait a couple of weeks and then send the third one (legal threat)
Make sense? If not fire away any questions......13. Bailiffs and Collections
Templates to stop lenders/bailiffs hassling you.13.1 - Harassment by Telephone - Template to send if you're getting lots of phone calls;
13.2 - You know nothing of the Debt / Prove It - Who's debt is it / Prove it Letter;
13.3 - Threat of Doorstep-Visit - Template to send the DCA when they threaten a Doorstep-Visit;
13.4 - Legal Threat - Harassment by Telephone - Threat of legal action unless the phone calls stop;
13.5 - Harassment by Telephone - Follow Up - Template issuing s.10 & phone number removal.2010 - year of the troll
