What a lovely idea about buying your dad a car!

And thanks for the suggestion re becoming an Avon lady! It might be worth investigating - not sure how I would get started. I certainly need something, though ....

There might be something in the Up Your Income thread. One of my students was a Body Shop party organiser but i think Lush cosmetics are beating them. Avon is very popular though.

I bet you could sell really well.

With regard to dad's car, it is a pipe dream maybe when i have robbed a bank!!! Still it is nice to dream!

    Hi Ann

Thanks for the email, you'll get several letters like this as the time goes on, nothing to worry about at all. Basically, they only have 2 weeks in order to respond with the CCA and they know, that we know, it isn't that easy. Therefore they tend to send a thank you letter out with their first attempt NOT to use a claims managment company - maybe they'd be better served telling people not to use Niddy :o - but ignore that silly threat.

Secondly, they know that by responding to you, you have to allow 30 days really before enforcing anything (not that i'd suggest you do anyway) so again, they are trying to cover their own !!!!!!, so to speak.

Soooo, what happens now? Well, they have confirmed that they will send the CCA when they [STRIKE]make[/STRIKE] find it, they will not find it - you'll get back a copy of an application form or if you're lucky, some reconsituted version with a signature they have found lurking on their systems...

In any case, just sit tight and keep me updated - nothing to action, with reference to this.

    I hope everyone is well?

Oh yea, I have my bright yellow shorts on today, the red ones were in the wash!:whistle: (cheeky monkeys!) :rotfl:

NID you are a star. Thank you for being so kind. One day we should all have an MSE meeting and we will know who you are because of what you are wearing.

    Thanks Niddy,

I did wonder why they mentioned not using a claims management company, because I had not mentioned this (as you know, becauseI used your template letter!)

I will keep an eye on what I receive, noting the dates, and only let you know if anything "unusual" appears.

Any thoughts on whether I should respond to Barclaycard informing them that they have sent the wrong agreement? Presumably they won't be looking for anything else as they are under the impression they have already sent it - although it was for totally the wrong person!

Thanks again for your invaluable help - as ever!

    Hi Ann

With respect to the claim management companies (CMC's), you have to realise a lot of people jumped on the bandwagon a couple of years ago and more recently the CMC's have been closed down. As such, the banks still think people use them, so they add that "blanket response" in almost all their letters - jesus, how dare they accuse me of being a CMC! I actually hate CMC's more than the banks (cos they would rip you off, i.e. the debtor)

Regards to Barclaycard, have I missed something? Sorry, you need to just remind me a little cos i've seen a lot since that, probably! Eeeek....

If possible, just resend me the original email where you mention them - i've obviously missed something here :o:o

    Hi NID,

I think I may have confused the issue by asking several questions in a PM.

You did reply to it on post number 358 - I am trying to work out how to copy and paste this.

Won't repeat myself, as it is all there!

    Sorry to be a pain!

And am currently visualising the shorts - do they go with the rest of the Superman outfit?

    Hiya

    Like this: #358

As for the shorts, really - you don't wanna know! Eeeek.......
I'll come back to this later - over the weekend ok?

Ok, sorry I did forget about it - see, told you I need prompting every so often, best to keep the cattle prod on hot setting for the next few weeks!

    Right, question time -

    1. Is the agreement in any way related to you, i.e. address, name, date of birth, local to you etc etc?
    2. What was sent - did you get a cover letter, terms, the agreement and a statement? if not, what was sent?
    3. Assing you were sent additional stuff (as above) can you confirm was the rest linked to you or also in someone elses name?

I am trying to establish if they just sent the wrong agreement to you, and possibly sent your agreement to the other person - or even if the other person was like filed next to you or whatever, so i'm trying to see why it was done, unless just human error?

Obviously we need to *hope* that you have the other persons CCA and they have yours - that would knacker them up big time and get them a fine in the process.... but if it was s imple error, then we'll be looking to get the original from them, that relates to you....

Let me know and then i'll sort you a reply to send back to them - do you want it serious and firm, serious and sarcastic or just smart-arsey sarcastic hitting them with their flaws? So, a, b or c! hehe
