    Hi Niddy,

Have just had a little idea!

If they do turn up and if I am in, I do have a large glass panel in my front door so I can easily see any visitor before opening the door to them. Is there any mileage in me printing off another copy of the letter I have just posted off and pushing it through the letter-box for them to read? (Assuming that they can read!) This would then reinforce the legal position.

    Worth a try???

    Hi Ann

Nah - they will not come and if they do ignore them. Its not worth it cos if they are speaking to you at the door, neighbours etc could hear which would then result in embarrasment which is another "unfair debt collection" breach!

See this template I done for Locke at the weekend for an idea of what I will throw at them when they do breach rules #3140

    - As you can see, I don't hold back ;)

    3dogs - well spotted.

Ann, now you've sent the template it will stop them trying to call in future so well done, you can de-panic now. :D

They could, for the same respect use that to make an excuse to call so the template has kinda more than covered you for future scares.

Thanks 3dogs, impressed at your spotting this - I presume you've seen these cards before LOL.... i've just heard of them, but they don't worry me cos like you say they are usually scare tactics.....

    Well done :T

Thanks for all the posts and advice, Niddy!

I really appreciate the support and advice.

It does look as if I may have panicked a bt prematurely - but at least they have had the letter now! I just didn't read the card properly - and just jumped to the conclusion that they would be banging on my door!

Rest assured, I will let everyone know what actually happens.

And thanks for the offer of me being able to "phone a friend"! It is very reassuring to know that I can do that if the needs does arise - but I will save this for very extreme circumstances - if they ever happen!

    Thanks Swanfan,

    Probably a premature panic!

    But valuable experience!

And, yes, the pages are taking forever to load - particularly when posting. You nearly lose the will to live!
