My goodness Ann I havent been on the forum for a couple of days and missed lots of stuff happening. First of all, whats with the new look site? Im not having trouble loading, but I dont take to change too well, will just have too get used to it I suppose. You poor love, youve been through the mill havent you, bless. What with the car and that awful postcard. hope you are feelong ok today and not worrying. The swines will try anything to get dosh out of you, and dosh THEY are not entitled to I may add. My goodness Nid has been worth his weight in gold to you hasnt he? I feel awful not being around, but sounds like you had lots of lovely mse friends to support you. You're right you know, this is good for all of us to go through with you as we could get the same appaling treatment soon, so we can deal with it following your lead. Life should get easier as we get older not harder. Please I hope you are feeling strong today, you have our strenth behind you and Nids offer to speak to them as your son must be so reasuring to you. Hugs to a brave lady:)”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)

Thanks Jinny,
Your words are so encouraging! I really appreciate them - and you are so right about Niddy being worth his weight in gold!
Hope the hand is improving and that it is not the reason you have not been around for a couple of days.

Thanks Maz,
Yes, it is still sunny here!
Thanks for the advice - if someone does turn up I am going to talk to them via the letterbox, as suggested. And point out to them that the account is subject to dispute!
However, now I am not sure whether anyone is going to appear! As I am sure you have already read I misinterpreted the wording of the card thing that I received and then panicked! However, as has also been pointed out - I think that my reaction was exactly what they wanted. Except I did not panic enough to ring the number - in big bold type on the card!
But, it is very reassuring to know that others have experienced these visitors and survived. As you say, what can they do? Apart from cause embarrassment - to themselves, as well!
Have a good day yourself!
hiya Ann
ive had quite a few cards too without anyone especially Mr Green turning up at the house, i think they might have tried to call my phone but my truecall device would have zapped them away heheheh
it is their tactic for whoever receives these cards or letters to call them immediately, which of course im sure loads of people do who dont know about mse and other forums but at least we are informed and reassured, imagine how others must feel when they dont know their rights, actually now its is going to be part of my letter to my local new mp, as he was so interested in my halifax daily charge that i expressed to him i m going to see if he is as true as his word that he would try and put pressure on government. Might as well add this other aspect to my concerns,
have a fun day take care maz:)Sealed Pot Challenge member 1525

Hi Maz,
This is a really good point! I am sure it is scare tactics and that I would not be the only one to misinterpret what they saying on that card!
Interesting about your MP. Perhaps he may start a campaign against the banks - they are hardly flavour of the month, so I expect he will get loads of support!

Hi ann no the hand is fine, athough still a little sore but practically back to normal. I dont always have time to post, but usually read the posts quickly before bed or early morning. just had other stuff the last two days. Its only weeks since you started this thread but seems longer with lots of drama alright. You might concider writing your memoirs someday. As this thread has proved, your journey has been addictive. You remind me of the tv drama Housewife 49 that starred Victoria Wood. I dont know if you saw it. It was about a wartime housewife that wrote a dairy of everyday life during the 2nd world war in a newspaper. This is just like a war I suppose with the evil DCA doodlebug bombs coming at yer!!!:D
Thanks Jinny,
It wasn't meant to be a criticism of you not coming on here!
Like the suggestion of writing something up as a diary - not sure whether anyone would publish it, though!"What does not kill me makes me stronger". Frederich Nietzsche, 1844-1900.0 -

You seem so much more confident about these beggers now and that really helps others worried about the debt they are in. It really concerns me what these horrible people do to decent peoples minds and the extreme stress they cause. They could send some poor person over the edge. Horrible horrible low life they are.”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)

You are so right about these people - I am sure they absolutely terrify some people! Especially those who don't have this forum to support and advise them!"What does not kill me makes me stronger". Frederich Nietzsche, 1844-1900.0 -
Absolutely! so glad I was directed to your thread by dear SW way back then. Havent had many letters strangely though and the phone calls are very few and far between. Maybe the dreaded postcards are next...............!!!!!”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)

Hi Jinny,
I haven't had many letters either - a few reminders, which have become less and less polite!
The phone calls still keep coming, though - but I don't answer them! I am sure they will get tired of it very soon - probably send some more cards!"What does not kill me makes me stronger". Frederich Nietzsche, 1844-1900.0
