Pleased to see that your visit to the dentist wasn't too traumatic - apart from having to for out £40!
Thanks Pixiechik,
Likewise with the job applications - and the unenforceability issue!

Hey Ann, well done at dentist. I left my private dentist to go NHS to save money!!!! My old dentist would have been £40 for the same too. NHS dentist charged me £26 then looked at my teeth and said after 30seconds you are fine, they are clean and didnt even polish for the £26!!!!
I was so relieved (I am the same as you all terrified of medical appointments) I paid and ran!!!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

Allan - it's nice to hear you sounding more upbeat. You really were on a downer when you first posted (a bit like mouseann.)
Had a lovely couple of hours with my daughter and the baby.
Hiya Pixie,
Yes feeling more upbeat than I did a couple of weeks ago, mostly because of finding this place and sharing with others who are in a similar position.
Still sometimes wake up in the middle of the night feeling like I am in a dark place (ok no wisecracks about that being my bedroom!:p)
The dark place I go to is some where I would not wish on my worst enemy!
But hey, no matter what the future holds, it's no use moping around, it will not change anything by being despondent the whole time.
I have my family around me and enjoy reasonable health, so I am slowly coming to the conclusion that as they no longer hang you or throw you in the debters prison...Hey Ho, life will go on..:)
Pixie, I know what you mean about sharing some quality time with your daughter and new baby, my Son & Daughter in Law, had a little girl last December, she is just an angel to be around, kind of reminds me why I have to stay strong in these troubled times..
Mouseann, glad your dentist app. went ok, I have to face mine next week....:(
Take care everyone..

:EasterBunPixiechick well done on those applications. They are stressful but it will be worth it. Think of it as probability exercise, the more you fill in the better your chances. Always good to do with a box of chocs i find!!!!Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

Thanks SW,
Unfortunately there aren't any NHS dentists around here! I wish!

Hi alland,
Good to hear from you!
I think a lot of us on here can identify with your feelings of being in a dark place - many of us have been there!
But, I am sure it helps to know that you are at least trying to do something about it all - I know that it helps me enormously!
And let us not dwell on what Charles Dickens and Mr. Micawber would have made of all this ..."What does not kill me makes me stronger". Frederich Nietzsche, 1844-1900.0 -

Hi SW,
This is a brilliant description of what it is like.
Even without the box of chocs - but a lot better WITH!"What does not kill me makes me stronger". Frederich Nietzsche, 1844-1900.0 -
Tell you what Mr Micawber and his family would have not had to keep on moving if MSE had been around. Plus Uriah Heep would have been nobbled by NID and George really quickly.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

Good point, SW."What does not kill me makes me stronger". Frederich Nietzsche, 1844-1900.0 -
I know we all thought that the election and all the politial discussion but -
I can't help but think that all those telly clips of Cameron and Clegg remind me of Tweedledum and Tweedledee. I just love Alice - more than Dickens!"What does not kill me makes me stronger". Frederich Nietzsche, 1844-1900.0
