Silly question no. 1
I have been working through the various documents and compiling the letters but I a having a bit of a problem finding out the various addresses. I am mainly going for the Customer Services Department rather than the department to which payments are sent but am wondering if the letter does go to the wrong section, will it be passed on?
Is there any web site which lists the relevant addresses for these banks?
Or has anyone done a similar exercise with at least some of the banks concerned? Any advice welcome!"What does not kill me makes me stronger". Frederich Nietzsche, 1844-1900.0 -
Hello Ann
I dont log on for a couple of days and you turn into a mouse that roars. Go girl!
Never in Doubt is like having Superman on your side. Twenty years ago i worked in a bank and the customer servives dept used to forward on letters to our team. I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks Savingwannabe,
Very useful information about the banks! And I love the description as the mouse who roared - will make sure that I live up to it!
And I fully agree with your commen about never-in-doubt - a bit like Superman, Batman, Spiderman and James Bond rolled into one (can't think of any other superheroes!)"What does not kill me makes me stronger". Frederich Nietzsche, 1844-1900.0 -

Wow Mouseann, things are really moving forward for you, I'm so pleased for you.
You really are getting fabulous advice and support, I really don't know where many people would be without the wonderful and generous people on this site.
Just a thought on the phone...we didn't change our number, have a phone that allows caller display and it also lets you asign ringtones to certain numbers. We have a safe ringtone for friends and family and another that you can chose to ignore, or answer cautiously, being ready to fail security as Neverindoubt said.
Loving your headline visualisation!
Keep positive

Thanks mamajojo,
You are so right, there are some really wonderful people on this board, and so helpful and knowledgeable.
I do have a phone with caller display so will start ignoring any "unknown" numbers. This should help a bit with the bombardments."What does not kill me makes me stronger". Frederich Nietzsche, 1844-1900.0 -

Have you got a copy of your credit files? If not get an old statement, look at the back for the customer services address or go to the website, click contact us and get their postal address for complaints/customer services etc...:D

Too many cooks and all that! Simple process to follow now is:
1. Cancel PayPlan
2. Send CCA's
3. PM me when you get a reply
That's it - nothing more, nothing less.
Reclaiming charges is a waste of time on an unenforceable debt, why do it? Not a unenforceable debt at present. See below
You aint paying anything back and any refund is counteracted against the original debt - not like they pay it to you. In essence, it doesn't matter if the debt is £10k or £1k - if it is unenforceable then that's that - dead and buried.
Also a sar costs £10 - x 17 cards = £170 - waste of money. Include it in the original cc charges refund and they will return it. I have had every cc refund the £10 fee back.Besides, you just need to send one letter per different bank even if you have more accounts with the same bank.
Send the CCA request at this stage.
No disrespect never-in-doubt but I would have to disagree. In fact once you have SAR'd the banks which takes 40 days to comply, the statements arrive. One letter for the SAR request and then another to ask for the charges back. As simple as that. In fact while the OP is looking at enforceability of the agreements [which takes longer from my experience], the OP may be returned admin charges, default charges and overlimit charges with the 8% interest on top. I agree once proven that the cca is unenforceable then there would be nothing owed. However if it is the opposite then at least the debt would be reduced by the refund. IMO, saves time.
I can help you with this process mouseann if you want to save time. One letter for the SAR request and then forget about if for the next 6 weeks. If you are worried about the £10 SAR fee, it's only one fee for the same bank no matter how many cards you have with them. But I can undertand if you want to wait.0 -
I did use the Customer Services Department so think I have the right addresses.
Not sure about this SAR thing, though. Am I correct in thinking that this should be the next step and to cross this particular bridge when (and if, even?) I come to it?"What does not kill me makes me stronger". Frederich Nietzsche, 1844-1900.0
