Funny enough ann I dont seem to be getting any letters from anyone or phone calls at home since i saw off two of them last week. Makes you wonder- having said that i will probably start getting letters next week again. The phone calls at work are embarrassing though. They dont say who they are just calling about an urgent finacial matter. Tried pretending it is about remorgaging but i know the boss not buying that. Well stuff em who cares what they think”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)
Put on some lipstick
and pull yourself together”

Good morning (just!) everyone
Had a lie-in this morning as I was babysitting til gone midnight last night.
Jinny - that book sounds really good. I searched for it on my local library but they haven't got it. However, I did a search with just the author's name and they have it on CD (9 of them in the pack) so I've reserved it for the very good money-saving cost of 60p!
I really must get some stuff selling on ebay - I've 2 mother-of-the-bride outfits which should bring in some much needed cash, plus books from uni and loads of CDs.Hi Jinny,
I think 3Dogs and SW have already helped with the Ebay issue - please give it a go, it is also fun to watch to see if your items are in a "bidding battle".
But, please, don't do what I did a couple of weeks ago. Put about 4 things on there and estimated the postage! Unfortunately, they sold, but not for very much, and then when I went to the Post Office I found it cost me more to post them than I received as payment. So, my advice would be to get an estimate from the Post Office and then add on perhaps an extra 50p just in case .... (The people at the Post Office here are more than willing to do this) My fault, I know, I just didn't want to be accused of over-charging on the postage!
Re: postage. Check out the Royal Mail Price Finder

EXACTLY I once read that half the people you know dont care about your problems and the other half are GLAD you have them! (not the lovely peeps on MSE of course):)
Hadn't heard that one before but probably very, very true. I've stopped worrying about what other people think (well, almost.)0 -
Sorry Jinny - just commenting on your post when you posted that query.
To get just part of a post, click quote, and the whole post appears with the square brackets. Just click and hold the mouse button down to highlight the part you want to remove, then press the backspace button. Then you're left with the bit you want to comment on.0 -
Hi Jinny and Pixiechick,
You are so right about what people think!
Don't know why we are so obssessed in wanting to keep any problems secret - I especially love the bit about some people being glad that you have them! I think I could draw up a list of those!"What does not kill me makes me stronger". Frederich Nietzsche, 1844-1900.0 -

Yes ann thats me as well, they talk to you earnestly just to get info sad people. They arent out of the world yet we are all sent mountains to climb during our lifetime. The Germans have a word to describe people who relish people struggling. My son knows what it is, when he surfaces from his bedroom, I will ask him so we can mutter it under our breath or even thank our "friends" for being this word. They will be flattered and when they ask what it means we can smile sweetly and say its a german compliment HE HE!”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)
