Hi everyone,
Think no body loves me, I am going in the garden to eat worms (whilst still got garden!) Where is everyone? Must all be on holiday on some lovely beach.
Thought I just post a little update. Hubby should finish decorating spare bedroom soon, ones that done, the house is going on the market. Scary! In my head I know we have to do it, but in my heart I do not really want to. Hubby is finding it difficult to let go and this part were we are not moving and not staying is starting to derail me. Brain says "It is only briks and water" and Heart says "It is your lovely cottage in a lovely street, with lovely neighboors". Oh, shut up my heart!!!!
My friend called me yesterday to say her husband and her are trying for babies, she asked me if we are still thinking of babies..... We do, I said to her and for a moment was not sure if to tell her why we cannot have them now. But decided to say nothing. I guess this is my low moment, I know I will be fine, guess just got to feel sorry for myself now and then.
See you.....:oDebtfee from 20090 -

We are still here for you!
Selling your house, so hard as it seems, will be the right thing in your circumstances. You will be so relieved when you look back in the future on this episode.

feel better today then I did yesterday. Hubby is cracking on with the wall paper, so looks promissing. Thank you for wise words, very well said. Never heard of that German poet, reading books is a luxury at the moment, the only ones I get to read, is accountancy ones with lots of numbers:rolleyes:Debtfee from 20090 -
Hi people,
hubby has arranged for a couple of estate agents to come around on Sat. Soon will have the exact amount of what our house is worth! Moving slowly now.Debtfee from 20090 -
Hi Debtomaniak,
I've read through your whole thread today - some feat!
I know you said that you can't seem to get help with CCCS at the moment, but i've not seem any post mentioning Payplan.

They are another free debt advice organisation.
Please give them a try. I know people who have paid for the services of an insolvency practitioner and they are as bad as the banks for taking advantage of people and charging them through the nose for it.
Hope this helps.

Thank you for your kind advice. I will sure have a look on their website. We will now wait till Sat and see what we are looking to get for our house and if there is enough money tied up in it, we will settle our debt in full. That way hubby doesn't get bad credit record and hopefully when he gets himself a job, we can apply for a mortgage together and buy a flat or something.Debtfee from 20090 -
Have been quickly reading your posts Debtomaniak, is your hubby claiming off the payment protection policies for his loan/credit cards, I am assuming that he had some cover. If he was made redundant, they should have paid out??Debt Free!!!0

Hi Debtomaniak...I haven't read this whole thread so apologies if I'm repeating anything but I just wanted to comment on the selling your own home yourself question at the top of this page.
I did this 2 years ago and it was easy-peasy and saved me about £5,700!!!! All the local estate agents told me horror stories and advised me to rethink - but I bit the bullet and went for it. I signed up with a website, they came and took lots of pics, I paid them £99 and there I was...live on the internet and with a big sign outside my house. I also put the word out amongst my neighbours, fellow travellers on the train every morning etc because I lived in a sought-after suburb with easy access into town and you never know who's friend might be looking to move there! Once my house was under offer I discovered just how little estate agents actually do - I dealt directly with my solicitor and my buyers and we sorted problems out between us. Would I do it again? Every time!
And to really make you laugh, just before completion, I had a phone call from a tv researcher who'd seen my ad and wanted to know if I'd be willing to take part in one of those property programmes we get on TV.......so I said yes please and had my 15 mins of fame too!! :beer:0 -

Thank you for sharing your expirience. I was on and off that idea. The sales guys at work have been telling me horror stories, that it will all go wrong if I try to do it myself. But I have heard that more and more people are actually doing it now and that as long as you have a common sence, should be OK.Debtfee from 20090
