Yes.....it was Mr. Debtomaniak who called them, or says he did.

Were you present when he called, Debtomaniak?

It depends why you drink the wine. If it is for the taste, have you tried buying slightly more expensive wine, savoring it more so not drinking as much and hence spending less?

If you drink to get drunk - then it's Lambrini and vodka for you girl! :rotfl:
I have recently been drinking vodka and orange and once I realised I liked it, I decided better not get used to it, so stopped drinking that. We usually buy wine from Lidl, I would say 1-2 bottles a week. Is that a lot?

I find drinking a funny one. Personally, If Im not getting drunk as a lord Id rather not bother lol. So I save my drinking for parties, bbqs, social events, festivals etc.

Also Im aware that drinking is a depressant ( and its not just the money side of it, although that does depress me lol) and I feel I dont want to be putting added pressure on myself and paying for the privelidge. Right about now, my feeling is Id rather give myself a fighting chance of coping as best as I can without added depressants in my life. OH loves his beers though, but is cutting down for moneysaving. total it up. £3 a bottle, 2 a week 6 x 52 = 624 per year. But then as I said, I dont really bother with drinking I can take or leave it.

Entirely up to you, if you can work it into a budget, you are drinking for the right reasons, and you want to carry on doing it, and you can afford to, then there really is no problem :)
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

    Hi, hun,
you sound really cheerful tonight so im sorry when i say this but, from what i have learnt this is what happens with an IVA,
if it is in joint names then it will cost about 9k to set up solo i should imagine its half, for about 90k then you need to garantee payments for 60 months of £600+ however if you have sufficient equity then they will take that into consideration too (not always) youcan miss only 3 payments in those 5 yrs if you miss more then they can proceed to take you to court etc, you need 70-75% of creditors to agree to it, when i enquired about it i was told that i would pay £600 pcm, which is fine in the future but not at the mo, eg just this week my washing machine is broke i have had to find £90 for tomorrow, it has ruined my kitchen floor so if the insurance company dont pay then it sgoing to cost me in the region of £500 to replace it, i dont have that sort of money, my boiler needs repairing but i dont have a spare £140 quid at the mo im saving (making most of hot weather)
think about this go back to the cccs as them for an appointment and they can also send you out an IVA pack which explains it in depth
i hope this hasnt spoilt it but i just want you to have all facts first before you jump at an IVA
if you are going to sell then i would pay minimum offers to the crediotrs market the house then pay off and start again you could offer a reduced settlement figure when the house is sold
    hope this helps
    klare xx
So sorry to hear about your troubles, feel like I am being pathetic now. I want to put house on the market ASAP, but mu H is finding it difficult to let go, to make that first step and keeps saying to me -"do not push me". He keeps going on about getting a job. It will actually be better if he is out of job, when we are making an offer to his creditors.

    Hang about.

What's this nonsense about they don't have an office ner you, Debtomaniak?

The CCCS interview one over the phone.

So, who exactly did you phone and what exactly did they say?

Or did you not phone at all?
I was under wrong impression, I thoght we could go and meet someone, who would sit down with us and our paperwork and help us sort it out. Dream on girl. He is going to call them again today and ask for an IVA info pack. Hopefully soon I can make him put our house on the market and we will take it from there.

Think I ought to start an alchoholics club as well. No, the glass on wine with dinner twice a week just helps me sleep really, I do not get myself drunk. Will see if we can cut back.

Provided that "1-2 bottles a week" isn't for each hand (:rotfl: ), then no.
