the problem is you are up against kids who can take days ot practice and get to know the maps and spawn points
unless you get the game on launch day and play it like your life depends on it you are gonna struggle

Could not have been due to the net. Mines a old 40gb and only had 2 updates in its life, the most recent one being 2 weeks ok.

One of my saves appeared as 2000 and now my ps3 saves are behind a few days but the system clock is showing the correct date???

Anyway thanks to this forum i quickly transfered my saves to a usb stick.

Very true, I've been giving my girlfriend a bit too much attention of late and my online MW2 has suffered loads, might get on tomorrow night for a bit lol

If I played anywhere near as well when I first started id have a much better set of stats

this is one of the problems with console games especially when you dont really control which servers you can join. Not saying that console games are bad as I like playing them - but I also like being able to join my mates in a private server where we know nobody cheats and have a damn good game with little frustration (PC COD4 and CoDWorld at War)

you can just play with your mates online with consoles as well. unfortunately none of my mates have consoles. they are all henpecked under the thumb types. it is virtually impossible to find enough people online that are at a same level as yourself. alot of the time people want to play different games. for example i just usually want to play death match but i get people inviting me into capture the flag games.

i know that you can play with mates online with some of the games, but the main problem is still the lack of features, and if the main Xbox, wii, or PS3 server is down then you are completely stuffed as you wont be able to connect to anything. I havent really played much console games except rock band online. But girlfriends son has modern warefare 2 and although it is a very good console game. Its missing a helluva lot of features and is dependant completely on the MW2 main server being up and running
