Sony PS3 GLITCH thousands affected - Dont turn on your machine yet

Why will they be useless? The problem was caused by a bug in the clock used by the PS3. It wasn't anything to do with PSN. Single player games would still work. People can use their PS3 without an internet connection, can't they?
No they didnt work, if you tried to play a game, even with your internet off it would come up with an error about trophies and quit the game, yesterday all the PS3 was good for was as a door stop:beer:0 -
Well drama all over it seems - but how on earth did they do it - mine along with many others was bricked but just turning it back on fixed it after they said so - no update nothing - the wonders of modern technololgy - anyway heads up to Sony all fixed and well.Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives.:j0

Christ!
Do you all work for Sony or something?
A BIG company !!!!s up and we just go hey-ho?
!!!!!!!!.
Also we're supposed to ignore the sub-communicated message here?
Only the older models broke, none of the 'new slim-lined' ones broke.
Guess I should just buy the identical-operation-wise-yet-smaller-and-less-useless-model.
This is simple marketing via inconvenience.0 -

It was a problem with the on-board clock. They didn't fix or do anything, it was a case of waiting until the clock rolled over til the next day.0 -

i was curious why there was no need to install anything. i did get error code 80023102 when i was in playstation store. this happened when it was slow to make all the icons appears for the various things. when i pressed back they were suddenly all there and everything worked fine. i was panicking for a second though.0 -

so does that mean it will happen again? i am curious why a system was designed to think a year that isnt a leap year is a leap year.0 -

It wouldn't have been designed to think this year was a leap year but software often does things that it wasn't designed to do.0 -
If it was just a case of waiting for the clock to roll over why did it fix itself before midnight - and would it not still now be messed up thinking it was the first not the second of the month - guess it was a transatlantic thang. But hey ho all fixed on to another subject for me.Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives.:j0
