This only applies to the older 'phat' consoles - the slim models are OK

Yours is the first case I've heard of where the save games have actually been lost, I've just heard games can't be played (including offline for some games). Are you sure they're all gone? They might reappear when the glitch is sorted

Silly Sony, this is not a leap year :rotfl:

Mine said your game save data is corrupt press cancel to start a new game your game saves will be lost - this happened on two games so I just turned it off for now. My family members will not be impressed.

Little big planet and Paradise city so far on mine if it helps anyone

My older phat console is only 5 months old I bought it for the design rather than the new !!!!!! one.

Both the above games are online capable games I think.

Well, from what I've read about this bug, it's caused clocks to reset back to 1999/2000. So it could be seeing the saved game, thinking "hold on, this save file is from the future, it must be dodgy" and giving you the error, so once the clock is fixed you should be able to get them back as normal. Unless it automatically deletes the saved games once it thinks they're corrupt, which is a possibility

i turned mine on this morning just to see if mine was affected. It was (and the date reset to 31/12/99) but i still have all my saves & data.

PS3 slims are not affected (and apparently, the 160gb phat isn't affected according to some reports)

My first thought was a leap year glitch and slashdot seems to think the same reading peoples comments below the the article - various problems sound worrying even if we get a fix will we save our saves
