    Hia,

I found the Champneys set I bought and a shampoo/conditioner/treatment set. The latter made me realise I really like the shampoo etc the hairdressers sells. If I buy a set they're cheaper too. It's time to draw a line under all that hope (or is it hype) that buying other shampoos etc will magically change everything. Doh! So I think I've found my fav shampoos etc now. (FYI it's Regis keratin think it's called, brown packaging).

    Lots of nearly used ups:
:(Clinique eye cream (think it's anti fatigue or something) - WIBA nope. Not moisturing and doesn't seem to do anything.
:(Superdrug Vit E oil - WIBA nope for me. Really nice quality product esp for the price but my skin doesn't like oils and gets a bit grumbly. It's the same with the Liz Earle face oil (superskin) so I should know better. So I put some on my hair last night (will wash it out today).
:DChampneys miracle body butter cream - WIBA, yes, yes, yes! Love this. It's a really nice product to use with a lovely smell. The set I found is the bath and shower products to match. I would like to try another body butter - sounds like BOdy SHop coconut is a fav here?
:DElemis pro collagen hand and nail cream - WIBA, yes, yes, yes! Really good quality stuff that actually helps my nails grow (somehow more than other hand creams). Sadly I think this is pricey so will have to try and source as part of a set (if economical of course and doesn't duplicate any stash).

Pleased to report I can add to my sig another £20 resisted spend. I needed a face scrub (had none!), and managed to pick one up at a charity shop, all new. So that saved me £20 buying the one I wanted. So I now have a total of £45 resisted spend in my virtual savings pot. :A

Lush in Bath has a kinda scary looking guy as a staff member much as you describe but he is so lovely I can't tell you..last time I was in he had me feeling his arms to see how soft his skin was from his bath the night before and then smelling his forearms to see how good he smelled. He didn't look like he would smell good but he did....anyway from being a bit surprised by the fact he didn't look like a bathing beauty he's actually just lovely..:o:)

Well I know what you mean, I too find it very endearing to find a really helpful guy working in these "female" situations. My hairdresser did a film/TV make-up course and currently works P/T for Mac. He is just lovely too and somehow I view his hair & beauty advice in a slightly different light to that of a female; not in a better way but just a different slant/given with a different perspective so to speak.

These two yesterday though were just morose!

I have one (or maybe half) an application of No7 night cream left, so I will confess to having used it up while online as it will definitely bite the dust tonight. :j Onto the Lacuna night cream to see what all the fuss is about...

Any feedback on the make-up products in this range from anyone? Was looking yesterday, anyone tried the mascara? There's supposed to be a Touche Eclat equivalent isn't there, but they've never had it in our Aldi.

Completely agree - the best hairdresser Ive ever had was a man - hes in London doing the stars now (but at the time he was in Shaftsbury!) and hes fantastic - chiefly I think, because hes a bloke, and he knows what blokes like to look at ;)

I always found the best trainees to wash my hair in the salon I used to go to were the young men. They really knew how to massage my head, I could have stayed there all day ;)

Hi No More Toiletries Gals - just drifting by in the general effort to declutter. Was SHOCKED this morning the OH said he didnt really think I was making progress with decluttering since IF IT WAS HIM (ermmm where in the contract does it say he cant declutter??) he wouldnt just move stuff from room to room. Maybe I should pile my two successful 100 in 10 days challenges on his side of the bed or in his car!! Grrrr
Anyway - back to toiletries - I did a general clear out and filled 2 pretty containers in the cloakroom with one of each thing we use, sorted out the bathroom cupboards and went through all the 1st aid stuff (enough for a major incident all on my own) and then put all the other usable stuff in a drawer and then filled another drawer .. So now I am going to go through it all and ask each item "Do I want to put you on my skin?" If the answer is maybe or no or depends then into the bin it goes. Any unopened bits will go to the homeless shelter. BTW they always want toothbrushes (er new of course) and paste - so I will donate the freebie ones you get on flights (having stashed a few for emergencies, cycle-camping weekends, spares in my handbag ... NO - this is the attitude that got me into the clutter I have now).
I like the idea of then listing what I have got.
I keep discovering new good perfume still in its cellophane - so I must use it. At this rate half of it will still be unused when I kick the bucket. And who says you dont deserve to smell and look gorgeous when gardening, shopping etc etc.
