Evening Ladies, hope everyone is okay and being good :rotfl:
Finally caught up on loads of chat as have been awol due to new job & family issues.
Off topic it has been very hectic in our house the last couple of weeks as hubby's brother is seriously ill in hospital & they are running out of options on how to treat him, if the 5 day intensive course does not work they will be sending him to a hospice. My SIL wants to bring him home so hubby and I will support her which ever decision she makes. Hubby is struggling as he lost his other brother about 6 months ago so will have to watch him as he is very quiet & quite withdrawn.
I have now used up all my sachets so good result :j
Night cream finished now onto Nuxe from stockpile.
Urban Retreat cleanser finished now onto Clean Mary from stockpile.
Urban Retreat shampoo finished now using Morrisons Organic, DD did not like it.
S & G I foam finished WIBA yes but have loads in my stockpile.
S & G body butter finished now using Aveene freebie.
Hubby has finished 2 small bars of Dove soap.
FCUK shower gel finished by hubby.
£206.82 Ebay sales which included £41.00 for Nails Inc nail varnishes that cost me £8.00 last year.
My nail technician has asked if she can use me for a practice run of eyelash extensions of course I said yes, on one condition that they do not look like Katie Price's :rotfl:
thevicster hope everything is okay.
Sorry for the long post0 -
Hi everyone,
Just been checking out this thread (sorry but not been able to read all of it as its sooo long).. I defo need to join up but reading everyone's comments is making me want to
a) use my products all the more quicker
and
b) buy all the products that have good reviews
So i've sat down and made a list of all the items that i use and approximalety how many of each i think i will use during the year (i.e.shampoo qty 6)
Having checked my stash i've made a complete box of toiletries that should last me 6 months. I'm packing it away for later in the year and will be using my left overs for the rest of the time.
Hopefully by the time i open my box i will have finished my left overs.
Anyone think this is a good idea or am i being daft?
p.s. debidoodle Sorry to hear about your BIL, hope he gets better soon.
p.p.s Well done on the ebay sale.0 -

So sorry for your family and pray god gives you patience and peace in your hearts. Plus well done on the ebay sales:Tlostinrates wrote: »grumble, grumble....three ickle things. its my birthday next this week...
actually birthday is proving a problem...I kinda don't need anything much...don't want things for the sake of things. I often have a list , because I'm a little bit fussy:o and never want anything in particular so it helps my family if they know what I actually want to have to use.
I'm also going to be all by my lonesome on my birthday (everyone is away) and so every one keeps saying I should treat myself..but what on earth too?
There is a space NK thinkgy on, but not going, last months spend was due to a space NK thingy.
I'd like to dye some silk, so had thought about asking for the stuff for that little project, but it needs to be the right weather, and it isn't now, which means it will get put in a cupboard and forgotten about for ages, and I want to cut down on clutter.
Yeah, I'll just buy the one....:o
The silk idea sounds great Losi, hope you find something to do on your birthday, i know from my recent experience with mothers day that its no fun feeling lonesome and bored on "Big Days" iykwim, next time i will take my own advice and do something great for myself, my birthdays is not until may but im already looking forward to my facial and massage:rotfl:You laugh because I'm different......I laugh cause I just farted!
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt. (A.C)0 -
Yes it does. Put it down carefully, raise your hands in the air, turn around and STEP AWAY FROM THE SMELLIES LADY!
I have used up a bubble bath as handwash and got the last dregs out in kiddies bath water.
Bought a mouthwash but have a weeks worth if that and it was only a pound instead of two pounds fifty.
All this talk of nail varnish and summer feet has made me think of the state of my own, have never been to a chiropodist before but have had lots of pedis in past. Do they (chiros) make your feet really baby soft? might go if they can make them like this (don't have dodgy heels or anything just a bit winter feet-like:rotfl:)Cross Stitch Challenge Member ?Number 2013 challenge = to complete rest of millenium sampler.0 -

Welcome NuffinsFree that is exactly what I did, I had a basket on my bedside table that had all my odds & sods of opened skincare items.
I also had a basket in the bathroom full of half used products of shower gel, foot cream, body lotion & hand creams.
I also used a lot of my stockpile as future pressies for friend's birthdays throughout the year.0 -

Thifty, I started going regularly to the chiropodist about 3 years ago as I had a terrible problem with hard skin on my heels.
Yes your feet come away baby-soft, but that's because they use a very sharp fine blade to pare away all the hard skin, then buff the area with an electric buffer thing. She did do a lovely job of my toenails too. But that was it, no massage or pampering element, just a quick soak at the beginning and a quick rub of lotion at the end.
I used to go back every 6, then every 8 weeks and each time was relieved of about £32, then went up to £35. Over the last couple of years, with regular treatment, the problem gradually subsided. Although I miss having my toenails properly done, I don't think it's worth going now, unless I had a specific problem. The pampering from a pedicure and filing at home (when I remember) does the job. My local salon does a pedi for about £15 so I go there instead now.
Debi, sorry to hear what a difficult time you're all going through atm.0 -
Well the ghastly John Frieda stuff has gone, whoopee! My friend at work was really chuffed to receive it so I'm happy on two counts. I had tried lots of different ways of using it but just couldn't get on with it.
Also used up today kids toothpaste (so they tell me!) and bottle of mouthwash.
Need to get something heavy duty on my nose, it's all peely and flaky from this cold. I still feel ghastly but it's going a bit I think. I don't know about you lot but if I'm ill at home in bed then I always feel worse than if I just get on with it and continue to work. (Obviously not when I have had flu- I wouldn't have got out of bed if someone had dropped £50 on the floor by my bed!).Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -

I use a Microplane Personal Care Foot File, it is like a cheese grater and you use it on your dry feet and on the reverse side it has a fine sandpaper disc. I bought mine from Ebay for about £10.00, saved a fortune on pedicures and baby soft feet.
I would post a link or picture but don't know how to do it.0 -
Hi everybody
Going into boots later today to use up my last 3 no7 vouchers .Hoping to get the ruby&millie acm voucher as a points boost would be nice.Hubby has given me £15 to buy some eye makeup remover as I love my kohl but struggle to remove it completely and I wanted to try cliniques take the day off, might treat myself to another product in order to get the gwp which looks nice.
Have decided to have a beauty day today as feeling uncomfortable and enormous(26 weeks pregnant) so will be having a home facial, dyeing my hair, defuzzing legs, soap&glorying myself silly and polishing nails with the no7 Beenie polish I picked up a few days ago.Going to get eyebrows threaded though for £5 later today and then Hubby said he will help me with a pedicure and massage in the evening.
This weeks product that I WIBA is Boots gorgeous feet refreshing footspray-It definately works.I sprayed it over my smelly feet yesterday while having a lie down and sis commented that there was a nice smell when she came into the room.lol (it was refreshing too)Love can tame the wildest0 -

Being new to this challenge I have been sorting out all the goodies I need to use up and found two thirds a P&P serum from when i tried to get on with it. In the interests of MSE I have started using today as ... foot cream! Am hoping for completely smooth feet in four weeks as promised on the side :rotfl:
(Apologies if any P&P fans think this is beyond wasteful ... I would offer it to a friend who I know uses this but it has been open for well over a year so thought it wouldn't really be okay for faces anymore ... but fine for toes!)0
