Off topic it has been very hectic in our house the last couple of weeks as hubby's brother is seriously ill in hospital & they are running out of options on how to treat him, if the 5 day intensive course does not work they will be sending him to a hospice. My SIL wants to bring him home so hubby and I will support her which ever decision she makes. Hubby is struggling as he lost his other brother about 6 months ago so will have to watch him as he is very quiet & quite withdrawn.

Sorry to hear about your BIL debidoodle, I hope things take a turn for the better for him. (((hugs))) to you and your family. Good to see you back xo

Your suprise made me giggle chatterbox;):D

Have decided to have a beauty day today as feeling uncomfortable and enormous(26 weeks pregnant) so will be having a home facial, dyeing my hair, defuzzing legs, soap&glorying myself silly and polishing nails with the no7 Beenie polish I picked up a few days ago.Going to get eyebrows threaded though for £5 later today and then Hubby said he will help me with a pedicure and massage in the evening.

That sounds lovely sonee, enjoy it :)

I have used up a bottle of BS cucumber water (it lasts ages!) so that's £3.99 in the savings pot, must update my sig. I have another 4-5 in my stash so I'm set for a while lol!

It's so good using things up, I am feeling so proud of myself and the clutter is gradually diminishing. I've also spent ages tidying this morning and have made a gorgeous job of the spare bedroom, it now houses lots of little shabby chic bits and some of my posher toiletries on a pretty bookcase. :T

Well done to everyone on all the using up, and welcome to the newbies! :A Have a lovely Saturday laides.

Another bonus to this challenge I just emptied cleaned and re filled the bath room cabinets (4 little cupboards) in he time it took dh to make a cup of tea. Three months ago it would hav taken that long to do one shelve such was the quatinty of junk that had to be taken out and packed back in. We're keeping only what needs to be used next in those cabinets in order to keep it so easy. I've also been able to clear clutter from around the sinkin to the cabinets...:)

Sorry to hear about your BIL debidoodle, I hope things work out xxx

Finished off a Soap and Glory iFoam shower gel last night, might buy again but I do prefer the smell of Clean Girls. Started on matching Body Shop Cocoa Butter shower gel, body scrub and body butter today, definitely not keen on the smell! I know now that I prefer fruity smelling things! Can't wait till it's gone!

Have restarted using the left over L'Oreal and hey! it's suiting my hair this time (for how long??), strange the way sometimes things work then a little later don't and vice versa.

Bought Lush Godiva solid shampoo and conditioner for hols today....a very teeny small tablet and £5.50
    a) hoping it suits
    b) hoping it lasts

Will be aiming to save it just for holiday use this year, will be very convenient if it does but at that price won't be wasting it on body-washing, will use the hotel stuff!!

Lush in Liverpool today was staffed, rather incongruously to my old fashioned (?) mind, by a couple of fairly hairy-faced, unsmiling and fairly dis-interested guys in Lush-goodies-smeared black t-shirts. Kind of gave the shop a strange vibe today and I must say felt disinclined to linger (which in itself is no bad thing!!).

Also bought a mini Charles Worthington Mousse From the £Shop. Just need a mini hairspray or finishing product to complete my compact holiday toiletries!

Hi No More Toiletries Gals - just drifting by in the general effort to declutter. Was SHOCKED this morning the OH said he didnt really think I was making progress with decluttering since IF IT WAS HIM (ermmm where in the contract does it say he cant declutter??) he wouldnt just move stuff from room to room. Maybe I should pile my two successful 100 in 10 days challenges on his side of the bed or in his car!! Grrrr
Anyway - back to toiletries - I did a general clear out and filled 2 pretty containers in the cloakroom with one of each thing we use, sorted out the bathroom cupboards and went through all the 1st aid stuff (enough for a major incident all on my own) and then put all the other usable stuff in a drawer and then filled another drawer .. So now I am going to go through it all and ask each item "Do I want to put you on my skin?" If the answer is maybe or no or depends then into the bin it goes. Any unopened bits will go to the homeless shelter. BTW they always want toothbrushes (er new of course) and paste - so I will donate the freebie ones you get on flights (having stashed a few for emergencies, cycle-camping weekends, spares in my handbag ... NO - this is the attitude that got me into the clutter I have now).
I like the idea of then listing what I have got.
I keep discovering new good perfume still in its cellophane - so I must use it. At this rate half of it will still be unused when I kick the bucket. And who says you dont deserve to smell and look gorgeous when gardening, shopping etc etc.
    XX MM
    Stay clutter-free
No new stuff unless to replace broken items that are essential.
£2 savings pot (started Oct 09) £182 so far (£100 of which is banked)
Roadkill jar (found money) 87p and 20 eurocents

Hellooooo everyone hope you are all well :)
I'm moving out soon so have been trying to declutter (with reasonable success) and thought i'd tell you all about the monster lurking under the bed.....so i cleared out my bedroom and found an underbed storage box BURST with so much stuff in it - whoops and a big bag of stuff next to it....this is on top of the other boxes and plastic crates i have argh! but needed face wipes in town today and decided to get a make-up remover/cleanser instead to try - i think if i use that then i'm more inclined to use moisturisers and stuff on my face twice a day to use them up!
but on a lighter note, the house we looked at today wasn't suitable as my friend told the estate agent that there wasn't enough storage space for my clothes and toiletries!:rotfl: ohhh the shame!:o

Lush in Bath has a kinda scary looking guy as a staff member much as you describe but he is so lovely I can't tell you..last time I was in he had me feeling his arms to see how soft his skin was from his bath the night before and then smelling his forearms to see how good he smelled. He didn't look like he would smell good but he did....anyway from being a bit surprised by the fact he didn't look like a bathing beauty he's actually just lovely..:o:)

    Hi everyone.
Just catching up on pages and pages even the last February thread.
Just wanted to say Pootle_3...... I understand completely where you are coming from and I have weaned myself off QVC lately (although did buy the last Liz Earle TSV in the end- oops!) but a few years ago I was buying many different brands and too many TSV's. Now I buy what is only essential so it can be done. Before QVC, when I look back I would not spend more than £3 or £4 on a shampoo in Boots or Tesco. Last year I spent £18 on a 1 litre shampoo. :eek:After this thread though I am a much better, savvier shopper.:)
