No buying toiletries in March challenge!

  • I tried epilating under my arms, I must have done something wrong - tiny pinpricks of blood appeared through the pores! Hubby was very worried and didn't think it was good at all. I do epilate my legs though usually with no problems.
No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!

I wasn't expecting it to be menthol... wish I'd got the cherry one now.
Yes, that's how it's supposed to feel and the cherry one isn't anywhere near as good, IMO :)

Shandyclover, that can happen when depilating either the underarms or the bikini line. It's because the hair is so deep seated and is basically being ripped from it's root, it isn't anything to worry about. Quite worrying if you didn't know though!

You lot seem to have more expensive taste than me, I used to be a Boots tart but I now just have the occasional o.n.s in there when the need takes me:o

I'm a cheapie gal too :rotfl: I don't do QVC or expensive toiletries really... I just buy far too many!

    p.s. what does o.n.s. mean?

Nothing major to report here except that I finished a perfume yesterday... and promptly got another for my birthday today! :D:rotfl:

    Happy birthday freyasmum!!!!

I have had a delicious pampering evening - soaked in the bath for ages, then showered and body buttered myself, ah bliss. Then I settled down with a book for a bit and watched 'Enid' on BBC1, did anyone see it?

I've finished a mini Sanctuary Bath Relaxer this evening, so will put £2 in the toiletry savings pot. WIBA: Yes (depending on the price), it was gorgeous, very luxurious.

I treated myself to some of my S&G stuff at bathtime (weekend treat!), including my favourite Sugar Crush scrub. I love it so much! My bum is going to be like a peach by the time summer comes, it's been buffed to perfection! Ditto my upper arms, elbows, knees and feet.:rotfl: I used The Daily Smooth afterwards, mmmm. Back to the bog standard stuff tomorrow!!

Any feedback on the make-up products in this range from anyone? Was looking yesterday, anyone tried the mascara? There's supposed to be a Touche Eclat equivalent isn't there, but they've never had it in our Aldi.
I've been using the concealer and it works very well haven't used Touche Eclat so can't compare it but it does the job well for £3.59 ;)

    Hi everyone,

Who said they epliapted under their arms? Well like the fool I am I tried it, wasn't convinced the pain should be that bad and though maybe I'm doing something wrong :o Tried it under the other arm and just couldn't do it!!! OMG who ever you are? (I'm convinced it's LiR) you must have armpits of steel  But on my legs I have no probs, it's the best thing I've bought and apart from the ingrowing hairs it's just brilliant :D

Off for a bath and to use up some stuff. Will use a sample fashwash I got yesterday, can't remember what it is or were it is :p

Yeah, its me....I said I'd started....I still haven't done a whole one. Its not as painful as waxing though....no way!

I'm actually getting slightly addicted to the epilator DH said he's going to hide it when he sa me looking at the almost invisible hair on upper arms. If I can reach anywhere its in danger o being epilated right now.

i wonder if ibroprofen gel 20 mins before would help under arms/bikini lines?
