No buying toiletries in March challenge!

I've used up a full size of the Elemis Visible Brilliance Serum today. WIBA? No way - have not noticed any difference to my skin and would have sent it back to QVC had it not come in a kit with the cleanser and toner that I wanted to try out most. The cleanser is proving not to be so brilliant either. Let's hope the toner does something. xBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Yay!!!
Just resisted an evil email from the beauty room, telling me that my favourite (and now discontinued) exfoliator was in the sale, 5 mini tubes for £5!!!
Actually got to the point of checkout (with 10 tubes in my basket) but remembered my stash and this thread and closed the window. I actually feel really good about not buying them now. It is a very good product but I may as well get used to using something else anyway.
Nothing else used up yet, but I am working on it!!0 -

Evening ladies
Happy Belated Mother's Day to all - even though some may not have had the best one, hopefully the sincere sentiments posted here made at least a little difference
I ended up getting a Mavala mini nail varnish set and a HUGE Botanics set with massive jars of bath creme and body butter (must've been an Xmas set!).
Painted my nails last night a very fetching No 7 'Salsa' - really love this colour
Have binned:
John Frieda Brunette Shine Shock (trial size) - WIBA? Most definitely, in fact, took advantage of the recent Tesco glitch to get some more. Really made my hair so lovely and soft.
L'Oreal Microdermabrasion Scrub - WIBA? If it wasn't discontinued most definitely, but have another one left then onto the Boots brand tube. It wasn't empty, but started to smell off so it had to go
I know EXACTLY how you felt! The ex-Mr.c was responsible for the bottle of eau de Kerry Katona - need I say more
Oh, you've been so brave admitting that - and thevicster has nearly guessed it - so I suppose I'll come clean
Oh dear, someone got me her 'Outrageous' for Xmas - even though the packaging looks tarty and cheap, the scent isn't nearly as bad as I thought it might be, but I still can't bring myself to using it :rotfl:
it was Coleen
:o:o:o
Never have I been given a gift, said 'you shouldn't have' and meant it so much! Oh well, all gone now :A:rotfl:
I got both of these gifts for my birthday - isn't that Sanctuary box great? Loved all the little products in itmrs-moneypenny wrote: »stash got added to yesterday:o
angel shower gel and little perfume bottle
SJP Lovely perfume
big tub of sanctuary body butter - wont have quite the same appeal now after littlest DS gave it me let him smell it he recons it looks like lard and smells of marmite:rotfl:
sanctuary "me time spa treats box" contains little bottles of bath float, body wash a mini body butter and a couple of sachets -a face mask and a salt scrub. there is also a £3 off facial products voucher in it.
i wont list the edibles or flowers lets just say having 5 kids does kind of spoil you;)

Have been trying to convince DS that I'm due another Mother's Day in May, but he still hasn't bought it. I still plan to take the day off anyway

That's brilliant, vicster :Tthevicster wrote: »Bit scary, but I have booked myself a little mini cruise to Spain! My first time abroad and I'm going alone. I got a passport in December and am desperate to use it! Will be good for using up all those pesky little samples :rotfl:
I also used to travel a bit on my own back in my 20's, and am really glad I did. You made the first huge step by booking it, so I know you'll be fine. Most people don't even get that far, and usually regret not reaching out when they had the chance.
Good luck
Good to have you back, tara :jHello all!
I've been AWOL for a couple of weeks due to hols and just being so busy since returning. But I am still on track (except for a minor slip up today with some Body Shop essentials - essentials I tell ya!) I have not bought ANY toiletries for weeks!!!
I've used up numerous little samples while on hols so will put £5 in the virtual savings pot for those. I also used up the end of a Champneys Vitamiracle hand cream (mum's - she couldn't be bothered scraping the ends out of the tube lol - so I did, used it on my feet with socks and got 3 nights out of it). WIBA - yes, it is lovely. I also (FINALLY) used up a Klorane mango conditioner this morning, and said good riddance to it as it went in the bin!!! WIBA - no, no, no! AWFUL stuff. Don't touch it with a bargepole, ladies! I still have a little bit of the matching shampoo to use up, gah. Think I got them on BOGOF ages ago so will put in £3 for the conditioner.
Off to try to catch up... 27 pages eek!!!!
It's good to be back.
Body Shop Essentials today? Hmmmm, that couldn't be a few sale items for about the £5 mark could it?

Hi everyone, I'm so bad at being a regular on this thread these days. I'm still going strong though, not bought anything since I stated this challenge at the end of jan except a couple of bits I'd run out of (cotton wool pads and nail varnish remover, oh and a tube of tooth paste but that comes out of housekeeping).
My stash is very slowly going down, used up a soft and gentle deo this week WIBA yep no need to yet tho as couple more in stash, and just finished No7 bubble bath WIBA I bought it as part of a gift set in the boots 75% sale but wouldn't have paid full price for it, it's ok but I think there are much nicer out there, I'm actually out of bubble bath now but think I'm going to just use a few squirts of S&G clean girls instead since I have so many shower gels (including another 2 clean girls) and they last for ages. I'm on the last dregs of my Body shop vitamin e face wash WIBA I will be when I've used the others in stash, it's gorgeous and my skin loves it
I almost feel free of the mad toiletries buying, I walked through boots the other day as a short cut and I wasn't even temped to look, let alone buy anything, hurrah!*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150 -
p.s I don't know if people are still doing PYNM? I'm going to paint my toe nails tonight, and I think I'll do a pinky colour for a change since spring is trying its best to knock on the door of winter*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150
