Quick update, now I've got a few spare minutes -
Used up a sample size No7 P&P Skin Renewal (or something like that?) body lotion. WIBA? No - quite thick for a lotion which was good, but it wasn't a small sample, and I used it all in one go - def would not be worth the money to buy, and it's not as good as body butter.
I also tried my free Scandalous hair recue thingy after reading the reviews of it on here - I'm not hugely impressed. It did leave my hair feeling softer and a lot less tangled than normal when i got out of the shower, but it also felt drier, and thinnerI have quite thick hair and I like it like that! I wouldn't buy or recommend it.
Just a thought - there seem to be lots of slip up this month (myself included) and a fair amount of it is because of the magazine freebies. In future if there are a few people on the thread who get the freebies early due to subscriptions etc, they could try them quickly and let everyone know whether it's worth getting the magazine or not? I know everyone's different, but it might help people avoid disappointment - I think there's a bit of that with the James Brown stuff!
(I had a subscription anyway, but would have been !!!!ed off if I'd bought the magazine just to get that treament)0 -
I bought 2 new nude lipglosses (last one finished up), L'Oreal Glam Shine and a Lancome one for £1 each in TJ's.
I need to buy more shampoo and conditioner this week. I love the Dove in the pinky lilac botttle. Is Dove on offer anywhere? Can't bring myself to pay more than a £1 for it now!!
Those lip glosses were a bargain.
Re: the Dove shampoo & conditioner, it's £1 in Savers at the moment as I bought some yesterday, Not sure if that's the offer price or the usual price though.0 -
Whilst getting ready for work this morning hubby commented "how much cr*p are you putting on your skin" to which I replied he commented earlier how soft my skin felt. Unfortunately we girls do have to spend some time making ourselves radiant which obviously my hubby doesn't understand. I'm sure most of us wouldn't have half the stuff we do if our skin magically became soft by not doing anything to it, although everytime a beauty advert comes on the tele he replies back "use chip fat, isn't that right love" :rotfl:
Mine's the same, any beauty product on TV is a "Shazzam" as in hocus pocus, load of rubbish. He says, all you need to moisturise your skin is water! I've tried showing him how dry and flaky mine goes straight after washing it, but he still won't have it.:rotfl:Mortgage to clear asap! - [STRIKE]£148,874.38 [/STRIKE]as at 1 May 2013£79,176.55 May 2018£59,516.06 July 2019November 2020 £35,914.620 -
post them to me
Im a COMPLETE convert !!!!
I HATE YOU ALL(for pointing this out!).... I have just got in from Waitrose, complete with 3 copies of Glamour mag,so I have the hair rescue, shampoo and conditioner... (in my defence, I am taking it so my hair looks so super-douper amazing when I see my ex on Tuesday) so PLEASE be gentle when you give me my lines....
not least because I have made another  discovery.... Ive gone off S&G!!!!!!! (sorry if Ive just made anyone faint!) so I will be listing rather a lot of that over the next few weeks..... :rotfl:
ohh i'm having too much fun with them, as they are small i can use them up quicker... :T
go to your nearest benefit counter they will have lots of little pots of samples to go away, and are even more generous if you buy something (sure i shouldn't be advocating that on this board!:rotfl:)0 -

CompletelyLost wrote: »Thanks to those who replied to my question about waxing vs epilating. I had an epilator but got rid of it... wasn't too impressed with it to be honest, I felt like it took ages to do my legs and I'm impatient so I went back to shaving. I quite like plucking hairs from my legs with my tweezers (bit of a habit, I don't actually sit and pluck out all of my leg hairs) so can't imagine waxing would feel that different -- well apart from that you're pulling several hundreds of hairs at once
I think I'll give waxing a go, anyway. I don't fancy going to a proper waxing place to have it done. I don't think I've ever had a beauty treatment done by a professional...0 -
I have booked a holiday:j:j:jI gave OH a choice of 6 options including some tesco deal ones and guess which he chose?.......the 1 where we pay for it all ourselves of course:rotfl:
felt sad when I had my 55th birthday last year but on the plus side I now qualify for a golden age:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:pousada passport(for holiday hotels in Portugal run by the state)which has saved me about £700 :j:j:j
I know this has nothing to do with toiletries but some of you were kind enough to wish me well on getting a holiday:)
just been to hospital for physio on a trapped nerve and the physio said she was gently manipulating my neck:eek::eek::eek:....nothing gentle about that, there was an email from BS when I got home with a code for 10% off next order, don't know if it 1 just for me or anyone can use ,but if anyone wants it let me know(sorry should not be tempting you:rotfl:)
think march has been a naughty month as not bought anything till now so will try to be good(at least till the Clarins bonus in May :rotfl:)0 -
managed to use up a small Sure deoderant today so am now on to the one OH bought me when I was in hospital last year and had run out. Not a great fan of the scent but it does what it says on the tin so will use it until it is finished.
will have to buy some cheap hair removal cream to pour down the plughole as my hair has blocked it again and its the only thing that clears it, so will try hard to resist the temptations when I am in superdrug tomorrow.0 -
