Well I admit to going to tescos half an hour ago for the shampoo glitch and stocking up on john frieda products .I spent £12 but have enough to last for over a year or so.I also admit to buying john frieda products in the past so I see this as a loyalty discount.Love can tame the wildest0

Just a quick update as it's very late and I'm tired
Didn't use up anything but did throw out a horrible pink body puff that lasted a month. It just kept on unravelling so binned it. It's been replaced by a better quality Sanctuary one I've had in my stash
Painted my nails on Sunday (it's easier for me than Mondays) with Nails Inc Victoria. Was a bit tricky and I've just noticed a chip already but it's a nice colour
Wish I'd known about Tesco glitch as was just there tonight and I've been using a trial size John Frieda hair serum I really like and want to get more, but stayed away from beauty aisle. Never mind....Soap+Glory is still 1/3 off at Boots. This challenge is proving difficult. As for perfume, one bottle very rarely used its Ken-something Flower.0 -

My skin is sensitive and so doesn't take kindly to a lot of things. So I can recommend this. You can buy a small tube, cheap about £2 I think in Savers.
Mineallmine, thanks, I have made a note in my diary to try this product next time I need a moisturiser, should save me a smallar fortune if I like this product. Like Bramble1 I used to use clarins hydra quench cream but have now changed to LE skin repair moisturiser for dry/sensivtive skin for £17.25 (50 ml) which is the best moisturiser I have used for my dehydrated skin.
I have been really good in February and have only bought cotton wool pads but I think March will be worse for me. I am really tempted by the recent offer of a goody bag from Estee Lauder when you buy 2 products and I desperately need a facial mask. By the way, can anyone recommend a rich facial mask for dehydrated skin?
Good luck to you all in March. I enjoy reading your posts on this thread.
BeckyNo toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
Boots points:£39.21. Extra money in 2012:£674.59. In 2013 £603.48. 2014: £85. 2015: £0 :j0 -
Me too.
3 x mousse
3 x shampoo
3 x conditioner
3 x serum
All for the princely sum of £8.
To be fair though, before this challenge between me and DD I was probably spending more than that every few days on various stuff so don't feel guilty. It's still money saving after all, as it's stuff I will definitely use and love. :j
Me toi'm much more conscious of where my moneys going. Looks like you got a good few bargains there

I’ve had a large sample of the Clarins Hydrasense mask in the past, which I though was excellent as a moisturising mask. It’s included in the free samples they’re doing at the minute, so worth popping along to your nearest Clarins counter to ask for one – as it’s quite expensive to buy
If you liked the cream, then you could be fairly confident the mask would be ok on your skin at least.
I’ve also tried a botanics moisturising mask in the past which was good, and probably a lot cheaper than Clarins
Last night I managed to finish the dregs of an old shampoo I didn’t like by using it to clean the bathroom with a sponge I wanted to throw! So another shampoo gone, and a nice new puff extracted from the stash, hurrah!

Just threw an unused cleansing gel in the bin. I think I'd left too long between getting it and using it. Didn't like the look of it and would have been embarrassed offering it to anyone else!0

Not fair! I love John Frieda stuff but am out of the country until tomorow, will the offer be finished by then? Please no!
As for moisturisers, having spent a small mortgage on moisturisers over the years, I've realised it seems to be the cheaper the better! I'm loving E45 and Nivea, Waitrose baby bottom butter (cult status!). I've also recently tried emollient moisturiser as a cleanser (brilliant) and witch hazel as a toner (also brilliant). I am obsessed with spf though so if a moisturiser doesn't include it I just add a squirt from my Nivea sunscreen (not cheap but fab).
Was rummaging through my make-up drawer the other day and realised, oh, I can actually rummage without everything falling out! However, I must point out that, yes, that means I do have one drawer devoted to make-up and many others for all the other toiletries.
Good luck for March everyone!Clothes challenge 2011 £254.08/£500!!!Toiletries challenge 2011 Trying!:j:T:j0 -
Forgot to confess my deadly sins yesterday, so here goes:
Bought a concealer pen from Aldi that has gotten lots of rave reviews here and I agree, bargain at £3.99!
Also got a Sanctuary gift set (small bath soak, body scrub, and body puff) for £2.25 from a charity shop. So, since I'm helping out British Heart Foundation I deserve an excuse for that slip-up :A
The charity shops seem to be getting a fair share of gift sets, beauty and otherwise, no doubt unwanted Christmas giftsBlonde_Ambition wrote: »Not fair! I love John Frieda stuff but am out of the country until tomorow, will the offer be finished by then? Please no!0 -
another review, not sure if I've shred this yet, the tesco finest Body creams (in tubs like butters). I love, love, love the oils in this range, dh and I use them to massage a lot. The body cream is a little more prosaic TBH, a thick heavy consistency but once on a lovely light but there fragrance. Today I'm wearing one which is ginger, pink pepper and something else....which layers well with my perfume for a feminine but not sweet overall scent.
Didn't get to pain nails yesterday, even with hardener. also almost finished the scurb of your life ...its...ok. I wouldn't buy it again, I prefer a less frequent more scrubby scrub, but for daily scrubbers, its nice0
