Ishtar huge (((hugs))) pet - its not easy - you feel as if you are helpless but just being there for your Mum and Stepdad is a huge support - make sure your Mum gets a MacMillan Nurse - they are worth their weight in gold - pm me if there is anything I can do.
Thanks very much Toots. She has been assigned a MacMillan nurse who mum says has been very helpful so far. She's asked me to start telling family as she's finding it very hard, but it's not easy going over the same information again and again.

Thanks, too, for the offer to pm you. I might just take you up on that.

I haven't been reading through the list much, so wanted to say thank you to anyone I've missed (and apologies for missing you). It's really helping knowing you guys are there.

Flying-wise, I've changed all the sheets - including DDs, DSs cot (fiddly!) and ours (much harder now we have a kingsize duvet!). Washing has been out on the line and I've just off to put the sheets to put in the WM now.

I'm off for a fairly easy evening (I hope).
    Take care
    D

World Book Day went well today. My saucepan man costume turned out ok. The teacher read the children some of the Folk of the Faraway Tree and they loved it.

For my talking partners group, I need to make some resources to accompany the book 'The Red Tree' by Shaun Tan. Have any of the teachers among us used this book in their lessons?

I have bought some heavy duty scourers tonight, and I have just scrubbed my frying pan and one of the saucepans (they are stainless steel, before you all think I have scrubbed the tefelon off) and boy they look so much better.
