    Hi

Wondering if someone can point me in the right direction within Firefox please. What is the add on to stop websites knowing that you have come from MSE? And do people still feel it helps your chances of winning more prizes.

There have been discussions on this previously & have searched through but can't find.

    Thanks in advance

I am not very technically minded and wonder if someone could please explain something to me.

When I am on the main competitions page, if I hover over the title of a comp, I can usually see a box with the first few lines of the post, to give me an idea if it is a comp that I would like to enter or not. However, with some posts recently, if I hover over the title, the box that appears keeps flashing on and off (if that makes sense), is very difficult to read and it makes it difficult to even click on to the competition to read it. Why is this?

    Thanks for reading.

Me too, I've noticed it mainly with weeowen's posts, I'm wondering if it's the way that the links have been done, perhaps copying and pasting rather than typing?

Yes, I too have noticed that it tends to be Weeowen's posts quite a lot of the time, although out of curiosity, this morning, I searched for all of Weeowens posts and didn't have the problem today. I would have thought that most people who post the comps copy and paste rather than type, so I don't think that is likely to be the reason.

I'm glad that I'm not the only person that it happens to and glad that it's not something so simple that it makes me feel stupid.

I just wondered if people enter this competition (or any others offering money plus some thing else) even though they don't want the tickets (or something else). I have no desire to go to dancing on ice so although I would like the money I don't enter as I think it will be taking a place from someone who does want to go. Am I being stupid and should just go for the money. This isn't the only one of this type I don't enter.

This was discussed before and someone emailed the TV show for advice. The answer was that it was all or nothing. You shouldn't enter if you don't want or qualify for all of the prize. I'm in the same position as you, it's annoying isn't it. I hate to travel but could do with the cash.

We won tickets last Feb (it's a unique experience as DH and DS went!!) and yes you do have to go as you get the cheque at the studios.

It is annoying with some comps and their restrictions but for every one I can't/don't want to enter for various reasons there's always another one to enter that's perfect!
Thank you to everyone who posts comps! :A

    Terms and Conditions:

Only one entry per person and per household is permitted.

They don't make it easy do they?

Hmm, so per household would cover it, no need for the per person.

    Sorted x
