Am feeling a bit disheartened at the mo,havent had a win for about a month.Had lots between December and begining of Feb.Best win has been a Romantic Meal for 2 at a local restaurant which I'm going to book soon.Another good win was Larousse Gastronomique-an amazing encyclopedia of cooking.
What keeps other people going when they havent had a win for a while?

I always look at the Winners Pics thread in IWIWIW as this motivates me to keep going because that biggy may be just around the corner

I have periods of decent wins, and then quite long periods with nothing much...BUT, the prizes are delivered instantly, quickly and after a long time period so it appears to be a constant stream of stuff to me which keeps me interested. There isn't much I don't bother to enter because I can think of someone to give the prize to for most comps...which is another way to encourage yourself iif you have Xmas etc to cater for.
The various challenges on the forum A o Z etc ...they are a help too.

There are various regular comps I have done for a while and am reluctant to give up on too, and while I'm doing them...may as well just enter this one, oh and that one.... lol

You know that IF you persevere you'll eventually get something and if you don't you've zero hope. Someone wins every prize, why not you ? :)

  • I thought this would be worth mentioning in here, as I have personally been having a lot of issues with an error message:
Service Unavailable - Zero size object

Other people I know of have not received this error message, so i've come to the conclusion it is a tactic by the people at Whats on TV to limit people entering competitions.

I did some research with other browsers, and initially I could enter the competitions with firefox, but that browser also ended up receiving the errors. I then tried Opera, and that worked for a while.

I have good success now by using the Private browsing features in Internet Explorer and Firefox to enter the competitions, as by their nature no information is stored from one session to the next.

Has anyone else suffered with these issues, and if so, does this work around help?

I've been thinking. I don't do all the daily comps and I hardly ever venture into the weeklies or monthlies, but there are various regular comps that I do enter.

My favourites at the moment are, which I enter everyday are:-

    Dorset Cereals spin the bottle
    Nestle Purelife
    Philadelphia
    Bodyform Stella McCartney underwear
    GuPuds
    Lindt Chocolate Bunny

If, like me, you find that you don't have the time to enter them all, which are your favourite six or eight say?

GMG Radio is one of Britain's leading radio businesses encompassing the Real Radio, Smooth Radio and Rock Radio brands.

The group has 13 stations across London, Wales, Scotland, Yorkshire, East and West Midlands and the North East and West of England providing GMG Radio with the largest regional footprint in the UK.

The company is owned by the Guardian Media Group PLC, which houses a number of well known media brands.

No person or members of their immediate family who has won a competition which has a deemed value of £1,000 or more is permitted to enter another 'major' station promotion for a period of six months.

Congrats on the win!!! I would take the condition above as saying you can't win another big prize for 6 months, but you can win little ones!

I don't follow your logic there, why would they want to limit the number of entries? It's 'hits' to the site that they're trying to encourage by offering the prizes, so limiting the number of people who can get to the site would defeat the object.
