I just can't keep up with it at all. It kinda feels like I'm in a massive chatroom with its own special language...

If you ever see those red crosses in boxes on here or any site, that means there's no image on the server (or the place it;s supposed to be is wrong in the code, not likely here as they were there before)....usually it's just a minor update going on or a little cockup by the admin or developer...most times the link will still work even without the image if it's coded well enough.

As for twitter being a chatroom with a language of it's own...well yeah it is, that's due to the limit on the amount you can type in one go making it useful to shorten what you want to say. It's nothing more than on here where people refer to DD WEM etc ...you quickly get used to it.

If you feel alone on there and ignored..well you can't be if you have your twitter nickname on the list here because loads of us will come and follow you simply because it's polite...it's the custom and useful to follow anyone who follows youm and this bullds up your network quite fast.
You won't get a reaction or response on there if you don't say anything though...just use it for what it was made to do originally...to say "Hi!, I have a hangover today!" or something trivial....you'll get a reaction and it will prevent your tweets all being retweeted comps too.
You have to remember though, not eveyone is actually online or present to reply 24/7 so not getting a reaction isn't rudeness or no-one caring, it's just a slow time of day with few folk around to reply...again, another thing solved by having more in your followers lists.

One thing that was mentioned a little earlier here is a feature I love, the ability to interact with the companies running comps...or anyone on there really...if you don't understand or have a problem with a comp you can tell them live and usually they will reply.

Don't give up too fast on twitter, we're building up a nice little group on there a little like the radio comps on here were. It can only get better

Well, from not having any followers on Twitter, I've now got two from MSE. I in turn have followed those two. I don't think I'll be following any more of you just yet. Nothing personal, but I think I need a bit of time to get used to this whole Twitter thing. If I have done it right, I have retweeted a couple of messages that should mean that I am entered into competitions, but anything more complicated than retweet this to enter, I have steered clear of.
