done. does clicking expired mean they auto get moved to game over or does it just highlight it for the board guides to see since it then shows th eword expired beside it on the page list iyswim?

moves them over to GO automatically so BG's don't need PMing to move them early :)

Just a warning for those of you who don't click on the links in the comp posts, but copy and paste them instead (to avoid them knowing where you found the competition), the trial of Skimlinks on the forum is sending MSE as the referrer.

Thanks for the heads up on this TheDink.

My non-techie brain couldn't make full sense of all the info on the link you sent. Just need to know what we do as compers - click on the links, or copy and paste?

Could you please explain how this is so as I am copying and pasting the links into the tab bars and the page info in Firefox displays no refer information ? even when copying and pasting Amazon links

    Best of Luck :)

As I understand it the promotor was capable of seeing the origin of site traffic even before Skimlinks was started on here.I don't think that many are that bothered & just select on a random basis.
I won a holiday to Vancouver & my initial contact was from a verification company that validated that the draw was fair & above board.Once initial contact had been made I was passed to the promotor to sort the prize out.If they were checking site traffic surely it would not be classed as fair & above board.
I don't think I can be bothered to copy/paste every link.

I just click on the mse links, I never hide any referrers or do private browsing , I win approx, 30-40 prizes a month, So on that basis I see no issue to worry xxx

You don't need to copy/paste in Firefox you just [STRIKE]right[/STRIKE] left click on the link and drag and drop into the tab bar to hide the referral link,

a lot of comp organisers are anti MSE and will drop competition entries from people who enter from MSE when they disclose the referral link

I never enter a competition without hiding that I have come from MSE and have been doing so for approximately 18 months now, it may be just pure coincidence but I seem to be winning more since I adopted the drag and drop method

Not quite sure that the commercialisation of MSE is a good thing they have always been proud of the fact that MSE was free from advertising and affiliated links now they appear to be doing a complete u-turn albeit in a roundabout cloak and dagger way

as revenue will be generated by the vast majority of MSE users can we expect some kind of dividend or recompense for providing the information that they use? :p
