heya guys can someone please help me i have been away from the comps for a few days and thought about goin thru all the comps to catch up but now i am behind 100 or so pages and really cant be bothered i dont want the comping to become a task or hard work, when i search for comps in the format E: such n such i get 300 listed for every search so wat am i doin wrong surely not everyone one i search has 300 lol can someone tell me how to search properly am at my wits end thinking i am missing out on something lol (just kidding but it is annoying though) hopefully some of u msers can share your searching tips.
I do it this way:
On the main board, if you scroll down to display options, there's 3 drop down boxes. Change the first to Thread Title and the second drop down box to Ascending, click show threads and then find your dates that way. It'll put them all in date order, then you can go to comps ending, it starts at some random threads then 01/02, 01/08 etc, on page one and then you can find the date you want to enter, say for example, 06/07 and they'll all be there (and the joy of having all the live comps, no game over's)
Hope this helps a little & doesn't confuzzle you cos I'm hopeless at explaining, lolxx JoJo xx
:heart2: And only now I see the light...:heart2:

Hi guys - I've been comping for almost a year now and I've won some amazing prizes in that time. Just beginning to wonder though - do you think it makes a difference what type of email address you use for comps? I use hotmail, but I know many don't accept entries from hotmail addresses as they can be from spammers. I was wondering whether to switch to gmail? Also, my hotmail address sounds kind of childish (I have had it since I was about 14...), people might think I'm not old enough to enter comps, lol... Do you think they take this into account too?0

i used to use hotmail email add but now its changed to live and i can enter the ones that dont except hotmail emails, i think both are the same though. i really dont think it matters which email adress u use.best win in 2011:eek: 4 nights in Las Vegas

I have been wondering about my hotmail address too. I see people who get good wins very regularly, but I enter loads of competitons - as many if not more sometimes as these people - and the stuff they get in a few days or even a week is what I could wish for in a month or more, if I am lucky.... When i compare how many comps I enter to these people, it is always the same or more. The only difference could be that I just have awful luck or that my email address is making me excluded from many comps that I enter, but I just wish they would state that they don't accpet certain emails rather than me wasting my time entering.... I'm a bit stuck now too because it will be annoying to change my email on roboform because many websites require you to log in and I have already used my hotmail address to sign up for all those so I can't easily switch over from using this one.....
As for the address sounding childish I don't think that will really matter. If you need to be a certain age they'll probably only check if you win, and i don't think they'll ignore your entry for a silly email.:j
Thank you all posters0 -

Did anyone get the details of the extra comp on This Morning today, it was to win £2000 of handbags shoes etc, saw it was on but didn't take details thought it would be on here but I can't find it. Am I just being blind or is it not here?!
Thank you:beer: Thank you so much to all who post xx :beer:0 -

Hey guys,
Just hoping to benefit from your experience! I am in the midst of moving house, work is getting busier and I've got about a squillion birthdays/graduation/christenings etc to go to so I am more than struggling to keep up. As I type this I am sat amongst boxes with a pile of washing uo to do - when you guys ar up against it and you have to chosse to you go for the small ones that you are more likely to win? Or the postals? Or the biggies such as ITV? I don't know which to concentrate on as I def can't do them all and stay sane! I already don't enter it if I don't want to win it or don't know someone who would love it!
Thanks in advance:A:ASince starting again after beanie: June 2016: Child development DVDs, Massive Attack tickets. July: Aberystwyth trip, hotmilk nightie. Aug: £10 Hipp Organic vouchers, powerpack. September: Sunglasses. October: £30 poundland vouchers.0
