Please excuse my ignorance as I don't "do" forums so don't know if I am doing this correctly.

Last week after entering the free African cookery book competition it said to check back to see if you have won, but can someone please tell me where I am supposed to be looking.

Has anyone ever won a prize for say concert tickets and an extra item such as a mobile phone or laptop. Reason I ask is because I was wondering if you won them and you couldn't get to the concert venue could you still ask for the phone/laptop etc and the tickets to be given to someone else or do you just claim the prize and not go to the concert? or do the give you the prize when you get to the concert?
I've not won by the way but just curious.

Some times the promoters state that if you can't go to the concert you can't have the other prize so you would miss out. I think a few mse'rs have had a problem with this.

Happened to me a couple of years back, there was a party or something to go to, and you got a goodie bag. I passed the tickets on to someone from here, and luckily he was very nice, flogged what was in the goodie back and sent me a cheque for half of the proceeds - which was very nice of him. Neither of us wanted the stuff in the goodie bag. That was in the days when I first started comping and entered anything and everything. I'm a bit more picky nowadays,

Anyone know why the comps discussion thread is now a sticky in IWIWIW, not in the main competitions board? I think most people that discuss comps are discussing ones that are still live, not ones that they have won.
