I got my first pay cheque with my new salary on today, which gives me £2250.70 a month after tax, NI, pension and student loan. Taking off £914.67 (this used to be 50% of my salary before my payrise, so I'll leave it as it was for now) for bills, food (£200) and spending money and petrol (£714.67) this leaves me with £1336.03 a month to clear debt with.
I ran this through the snowball calculator and it told me that I would be debt free in October 2007 if I only used this to pay off my debt. In reality, with a bonus in March, all my ebay sales, quidco and matched betting, I could be debt free sooner than that even!

Hi all,
I'm back from holiday, where I spent far too much (obviously) but it was great fun and I am much more relaxed but a bit disconnected from my numbers/progress debt-wise.
So I'm playing catch up!
Good news is that while I was away I had my direct debits for Capital One and Egg come out so my new totals are:

Sold lots of things on ebay so just transferred £68.56 from PayPal to my bank account! Will go straight to Capital One when it hits.
Quite a few things didn't sell so I will relist them in the hope that I have better luck this time.

I still haven't made my mind up about this card. It would be quite useful I suppose and there is no harm in applying - if I get it then I can use it to my advantage but if I get refused, then I just carry on as before.
Right. That's it.
I'll apply NOW.LBM: Nov 2004 Debt Apr06: £19,273.46 (Highest)

Yet again, these clowns haven't taken my direct debit and are trying to charge me interest. After what turned out to be a fairly heated exchange, the CS rep said she would refund the interest (again!) and the direct debit would be taken for the full (two months) amount next month...
