They are bad aren't they? I have a card with them too, mainly for the cashback. I pay it off monthly by DD and for the last 3 months they have applied interest charges too! When I phoned and complained (after each statement), the CSA always start off by saying that I must have missed the deadline. Well, hellooooooooooooooooooo you are the ones claiming the DD!!!!
Oopssorry DDDK didn't mean to vent like this but it sort of all came out. Hope you get it all sorted in less time than it took me with those clowns.

Yeah I only have their card for cashback too - and I always (try!) to pay it off in full each month by direct debit. Yet, they manage to mess up (perhaps deliberatly?) every now and then. I warned them that this was the second time this has happened and if it happens again I will probably cancel the card!
Especially now that they cashback can be applied to your balance whenever you want and in £15 increments - I'm up to £80 cashback and using £75 of that in my next statement!moozie wrote:Oopssorry DDDK didn't mean to vent like this but it sort of all came out. For the first time in ages I feel in control of my finances! :j
I'm in credit in all of my bank accounts. I know when all of my direct debits are going out. I know that I will still have some money left in all of my accounts once all my direct debits have gone out. I know, therefore, how much I can spend.
I'm a little annoyed with Morgan Stanley as they are, indirectly, making me think I have more money to spend than I do as I have over £1500 in my spending account but they need to take most of that to pay off my cashback credit card! I'll have to remind myself that I only have about £300 left this month.
Then, the day before payday, anything that's spare gets sent to one of my debts! :ALBM: Nov 2004 Debt Apr06: £19,273.46 (Highest)

Hi all,
Doing some filing and have put together all my payslips and tried to figure out how much student loan I have left to pay (I guessed c£3000 in my earlier SOA post):
The answer is (roughly, as I had to guesstimate interest): £3,823.57 (which means it will be paid off in roughly March 2008 at this rate).
Interesting to figure it out, just in case I had actually paid more off than I thought :eek:LBM: Nov 2004 Debt Apr06: £19,273.46 (Highest)

Direct Debit (£40) to Lloyds CC paid today and also paid £49.76 in ebay money to Capital One CC. Also got Amex bill so know what interest is...
Debt Totals
Egg: £6562.18
Capital One: £1901.88
Lloyds: £1906.28
Amex: £5862.22
Total: £16,232.56
Quite excited as I have £92 to be paid in the next few days from Quidco and £117 sitting burning a hole in my current account...so I'm getting nearer to being in debt for less than £16,000!
Wow!
Sending off my M&S Credit Card signed application form today too, so should be able to use that in some way to my advantage.LBM: Nov 2004 Debt Apr06: £19,273.46 (Highest)

Wooohoo £91.63 today from Quidco.
However...
I'm not going to pay any more off Capital One until I get my M&S card because if I transfer the balance from Capital One to M&S, my most expensive and therefore priority debt will be my Egg Loan so money will flow in that direction instead.
