Not very much I can do until I change the pennies. Am hoping I'll be able to do that on Saturday morning. Hopefully by then the Amazon payment would have hit the bank and I can pay another £30 off. Not expecting any money over the next few days so can't see me being able to make any more payments until then. Still, I've got to remain positive that I can do this.12/04/2019

Have had afternoon off work today, supposed to be revising for an exam tomorrow but I'm bored and can't stop thinking about money. Have decided that once DD comes home from school I'm going to take a trip to the post office to change the pennies. Will then pay them into the Halifax so that I can transfer another £12 to Shapely tonight.
Plan this afternoon is to:
Set up Orange dongle for wireless broadband - done
Write to Three to cancel dongle contract with them - done
Post off e-bay sale and 3 letters
Change coppers and pay into Halifax

I've just been reading through your thread and had to stop by to congratulate you! :T You're doing brilliantly! I think they way you're focussing on tackling one debt at a time is a great idea. If you keep on going your debts will be history before you know it!
I have 2 loans, and one is for a huge amount so I just focus on rounding the number down, always trying to get to the next even number. And bit by bit it's coming down. I transfer tiny amounts from my bank account - say if I deny myself a treat, or spend less on the groceries or a bill. It all helps keep me motivated.Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far!
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

Thanks for the support NualaBuala, I've just logged onto my Shapely account and the balance is lower than I thought, it's actually £239.41 (I think they've refunded me some charges because I ranted a bit) so I've met my target of £250 by Saturday. Not satisfied with that I'm still going to pay in the £12 this afternoon (I think I'll round it up to £14.41 to make it an even number) and the Amazon money when it hits my account. I've got about £11 from Amazon and the plan is to make that up to £15 with my tax credits so hopefully by the weekend my balance will be down to £210.
I just want it gone now so I can concentrate on Studio.
It's amazing how the odd amounts transferred from my current account actually add up and make a difference. The odd £3 here and there does make you feel as if your really trying to tacklet the debt. I've got some horrendous ones to come but thought I'd start on the smallest and work my way up.12/04/2019

Hi Herewego yes I am quite pleased with all the extra payments although I get down because I realise what I could be spending the money on. Still it's my own fault so I've just got to get on with it.12/04/2019

Well OH has paid for me to go to Spain with the kids in July and will also give me spending money. Luckily I don't need any clothes or accessories to go. That's the only thing that's keeping me sane and giving the incentive to keep on at the debts. I've got absolutely nowhere I can scrimp money from today and it's getting me down.12/04/2019
