May need a bit of milk and some ham but other then that 2 weeks is covered! The meal plan helps a lot....plus we have bought some bulk things to last the second half of the month tooSo hopefully we will be able to keep within our March budget!

mum said that if i dont want to be on my own tonight i can go round for curry and DVD but will see later if i get engrossed in decorating project (plus got my wine!) was also invited to a party but was very tired after carpet cleaning so had wine and watched casualty and love actually
may make some apple curd from Weezl74's thread as apples have gone wrinkly apples still there as did not want to cook and run around with dirty carpet water at same time
also, cleaned loo, hoovered upstairs, washed coathangers in bath, changed bed, fixed mirror and found a desk lamp i had forgotten about!
was naughty and had a takeaway (but i convinced myself it was out of the £69 of 'free money') i deserved it (i think).
think that that is enough to be going on with - off back to bed for 20 minutes with my cup of tea

Picasso happy birthday for yesterday and happy 100th post
Mog chops I'm so glad you survived!!!
Anyway me today
Obsess about new house
Pack up some of hte kitchen clobber for the new house and get a set of boxes together to be able to have a load in the car when I collect the keys (more efficent use of petrol)
Figure out what is wrong with the washing machine
FInd a tactful way to say to lodger that whilst her driving is great - she's driving too fast (I put her on my insurance for her xmas pressie - so she can see the island)
DD at sleepover
DS and a pal snoring still
Must tidy potting shed and see what I can sow for ebay
Must gingerly put lots of things on the dining table which we can ebay - or persuade boys to deconstruct the table to move it to the new house asap we don't use it here.
Organise self for next week
Meal plan
Banks need a fair bit of juggling
Phone pal on weekend free mins
Pay remaining phone bill
Look at campervan renewal and then decide if I want to renew in March or April he's needing his alternator fixed
Order new alternator!! Or see if there is one working int he box of campervan bits in garage
Wear lots of clothes and layers cos its cold
Chop some logs if I can figure out what I did to the electric saw..........
Think about advertising some of the local spare camper van bits on a campervan site, or get in touch with the Inverness camper group (?)
Be brave and clean the porto-loo having seen how much they cost (we'll never use it) I must advertise it.
Finalise clearing old laptop and figure out where all the bits are for it
Hey chaps - last day of February I'm going to do a few things I've been putting off all month!!!

Just did a huge post and it disappeared so I'll summarise it and try again...
Last night I had a massive eye opener when picking OH up from the pub. We popped into the shop for a few bits on the way home and outside there was a young man effectively begging. He looked awful - filthy dirty, painfully thin and in tears. I didin't have any change so went in the shop to get some.
When I came out instead of just giving him the money for some reason I felt compelled to talk to him - his story was heartbreaking. He wasn't drunk, on drugs or anything like that, just utterly lost. He'd been living on the street for 6 months with the odd day in a hostel - his girlfriend had left him with lots of debt, unpaid rent, bills etc and effectively he lost his flat. He had literally nothing just the clothes he was sat in. He was just devastated, defeated and didn't know what to do.
A few others and myself clubbed together and got enough to pay for a few nights in a hostel for him and OH and I drove him there, checked him in and made sure he had enough for a warm meal. He almost wouldn't get in the car as he was so embarrassed about being smelly and dirty, bless him. His story was heartbreaking and made me think there for the grace of god .....
I'm probably like a lot of people and thought that people like him were somehow at fault and could help themselves but he clearly couldn't.
Just made me really think about what I do have rather than what I don't and to be grateful for small things.
I don't mean to preach at all - it just totally rocked me and thought someone may be interested.0 -
Morning all,
Today I listed 6 things on ebay, hoping to make some money towards my trip to London.
I will see to the cats and take rubbish out

Revise for this interview for tomorrow
