I think Sorrento was the one I secretly liked most but it is also the most expensive:rotfl:
Sunnygirl sorry to hear about your SIL:( poor woman. The anti depressants are a good move and she should continue with the counselling if she can:oit is very painful going through it but you do feel better when you eventually come out the other side.
Bitsy OH thinks your picture is freaky:rotfl:

  • Afternoon everyone

Well it turned out lovely here :) beautiful and sunny. We went to local village by the sea for lunch in a pub. Had a nice meal and gossip with the girls. Before that I went to my parents to pick up some stuff. My Dad got me a spice rack from a charity shop for 50p, and my aunt has donated me a little cabinet which has 3 wicker basket drawers. This will live in my hallway and store hats/gloves/umbrellas etc I think.

I had an interesting email when I got in, you may remember I had a night out with friends at national chain restaurant and was told that we had to wait nearly 2hrs for a table when restaurant was hardly half full. Well I emailed to complain and the manager has replied offering me a meal to value of £40 to apologise!! :j I don't normally complain but it really annoyed me!

I'm going to have a cuppa on my balcony and watch the tide come in for 5mins, then curl up for the evening. I'm still stuffed from lunch so think I'll just have cheese and crackers for tea rather than the HM curry.

    Have a good night all

Your 'tales from the seaside' make me very envious - I'd love to live in sight of the sea!

Well paid jobs are done for the day ....my lovely DS1 has done the majority of housework and put all the shopping away for me while I did my reports (only downside will be finding anything:rotfl:)

My plans for tonight revolve around a southern comfort and lemonade or three - all the more delicious as it was a half bottle that was donated free :D

    enjoy your evening x

  • Just popping in to wish Smoky a happy belated birthday. Hope it was a good one

And to say how sorry I am that your SIL has had such a rough time Sunnygirl. x

Haven't been around much at all recently. Real life is just too hectic and I'm afraid I will be around even less as I've managed to land myself a new job.:j:T It's a bit of a dream job and I'll be doing it in addition to keeping managing OH's office, so spare time is a thing of the past I fear. :rotfl:But the extra money will be very lovely.:money::D
Hoping to keep the OSiness going though so no doubt I'll pop in from time to time.

    Take care all. :D

  • Hi everyone,

nmlc - hope you have a nice night out and congrats on your amazing weight loss!

sistercas - thornton'a triple choc cake sounds good to me!

elona - I hope you enjoy your special meal out

    halight - hapy 30th birthday!

sunnygirl - sorry to hear about your family's situation, there seems to be bad news everywhere at the moment.. I am on anti-depressants and I do think it is helping me deal with all the awful things I am facing at the moment.

Went out for a nice curry last night with my mum's friends from work, and have spent today with my family which always helps take my mind off things. Things as bad as ever with my ex, but I'm staying with my parents for the weekend. Thanks for all your support and it is really interesting to hear these stories of divorce etc, I just don't know what happens to men! It's very depressing :(. Nothing really OS to report but I do hope to make a start on decluttering my parents' house so there is room for mme to actually get in. You can't see the floor or surfaces in most rooms for junk, paperwork etc. It's going to take quite some time!

    xxx

  • Evening All

We have had heavy hail and thunder here this afternoon stopped now thankfully.

Rabbit: Glad to hear that you are a bit more upbeat about things x

Flutterby: That's a bit of luck with the meal, maybe we should all complain more often.

Congratulations on the job Haribo :T

    Sistercas :naughty: :rotfl:

jc2703 I think I will join you in the southern comfort (Got a bottle left over from Christmas) but I like mine with pepsi or ginger ale
