Afternoon all
Been busy today as per usual - had loads of washing to do again
DH is in the garden getting it ready for spring (whenever that comes) He has pulled my Jasmine out thinking it was a weed and it is full of buds:mad:
He got told to plant it back pretty damn quick!
I have just tried to get into writing this and he has called me six times already :wall:
I told him if he calls me once more I will plant him!!!!!!!!!
Trouble is I used to do all the gardening but because of knees I just can't anymore so he is a novice.
We have had heavy showers this morning and it looks like another is on the way it is going very dark.
Niece text this morning and said baby showing a little bit of improvement which is good news and she sounds positive which is good. My brother is up there today it's his second grandaughter and he is in a worse state than my niece bless him.
NoahsPennilessMummy and Moneysaving Diva and all who have wished my great niece well :TThank you for your kind wishes, and I have passed them on. I am sure things will be ok but it is so worrying when they are so tiny x
Flutterby : Enjoy your day x

Am just back from Lakeside and completely worn out! Outfit was got from New Look and quite reasonable, no shoes though - will order them online.
Now just waiting for the football to finish so I can hog the settee. Chelsea are losing at the moment so OH & DS are not so happy.
Oh and for anyone who lives local to RHS Hyde Hall - they are doing a grow you own day next Saturday, entry only £1. Going to look it up in a minute as have work in the morning but hope to get there in the afternoon.0 -
Good afternoon everyone!
Didn't get on yesterday as it was a very busy one. I have been on the go since I got up this morning too so am enjoying some sitting down time now
My Mum & my SIL have been down for a few coffees and we all had a nice chat. SIL is very down after she went for some couselling at Human Resources yesterday. The very bare bones of her story are that her & DH's younger brother died in December 2007, SIL was diagnosed with breast cancer in Feb 2008, her & DH's Dad died in Dec 2008, her husband left her in August 2009 and MIL died in January this year. The poor woman is cracking up from the inside out as you can imagine. We're all trying to support & love one another as much as we can but I feel so sorry for her with her husband leaving as well. He's also not being very pleasant about it all either  and has done things like not coming to MIL's funeral, refusing to pay the mortgage etc etc.
I have persuaded her to go back on anti depressants that were prescribed a year ago and we'll see where we go from there. DH & I are the only family she has left now and she for us IFSWIM.
Some thoughts & vibes for her would be lovely if anyone gets 2 minutes
On a more positive note I have made a big batch of pasta sauce to go in the freezer and Mum & SIL both took some home for tonights tea. We are having soup & cheese on toast ourselves. My tummy isn't fully recovered from last weeks bug, without going into too much detail I'm not being sick any more if you get my drift :rotfl: so I may not have cheese!
NPM I like Sorrento too
Diva Brilliant news re the OT people xx
Candygirl Hope you darling GD keeps your mind off how rotten you're feeling.
Hugs for anyone else who needs one xxx0 -
SunnyGirl
Your poor SIL what a horrible three years she has had - but once you hit rock bottom the only way is up, and I hope that she starts the journey upwards soon. Her DXH sounds like he needs a good kick up the bum, but she probably better off without him and she will hopefully realise this soon.
I am sending her:grouphug: and wish her well she is so lucky to have such a caring SIL xxxBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Sunnygirl - hugs and positive vibes for your SIL. That's sounds like an awful few years she's had to cope with the poor thing xx Hope she manages to get herself into a better place soon xx
Candygirl - ooooh can I come over I LOVE Peppa Pig
Butterflybrain - fingers crossed great niece keeps improving xx
Keeps chucking it down here. Have dusted and cleaned all downstairs. Need to push vac round but that will be a job for tomorrow I think when I vac upstairs.
Just popping on to send a quick email to accept DS's place for reception at school. Nice that I can email acceptance - saves me a stamp at any rate

thank you ladies:T
I think Sorrento was the one I secretly liked most but it is also the most expensive:rotfl:
Sunnygirl sorry to hear about your SIL:( poor woman. The anti depressants are a good move and she should continue with the counselling if she can:oit is very painful going through it but you do feel better when you eventually come out the other side.
Bitsy OH thinks your picture is freaky:rotfl:0
