Food4cats raw pet mince - alternative supplier?

It's an interesting debate: I enjoy discussing these issues with anyone who knows a little about the subject, in any case you know rather more than a little!
I am aware that many of the commercial brands of cat food are labelled as little better than MacDonalds for cats but I think that is unfair. As has been shown by 'Supersize Me' even MD's themselves don't advise their 'food' is eaten on a daily basis!
The dry foods which contain just 4% meat concern me, however, as they are so far removed from a cats natural diet that I believe they are survive rather than thrive products. In my ideal world they would be banned and all cats would be offered (not force fed!) a raw chicken wing on a regular basis starting in kittenhood.
And nothing wrong with being a crazy cat lady! :A Be interesting to hear how others approach their family's diets.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
I am very disappointed with Food4Dogs/Back 2 Nature. I placed an order with them but did not recieve my Wild Rabbit. I was not informed there was no Rabbit otherwise I would have chosen an alternative product.
I recieved an email as did all other customers that they are not longer carrying on with the business and that the Wild Rabbit will be delivered to all customers awaiting it.
I have emailed on several occasions and I have left messages on the answer machine (since last night the number is no longer is existence).
Hopefully they will answer me at some point and I will get my outstanding order. Such a shame as the food was excellent, best I have bought for my dogs.
Anyone else still awaiting food from this company??0 -
Hi there
I'm awaiting the balance of a part-shipped order. I'm waiting for wild rabbit, chicken hearts and rabbits ears! I got an email from the saying they'd be receiving the rabbit from their supplier last Sunday and would ship it on Monday - but nothing yet. I emailed but got no reply and have just sent another. I haven't looked at my credit card statement - they may well have credited the balance of the order back? Karen at food4cats has always been honest and upfront so I'm hoping to hear back soon.

I think there is something serious going on there
- they only added new items to their website in January and February, and I am sure they must have had a lot of new custom recently going by the discussions on various pet forums.

Hmmm..... was wondering the same. I was pleased to see some new products available. Karen has always been so prompt in answering emails and stuff....nothing yet. Hope everything is OK. Unfortunately, I had ordered quite a bit of the bone in rabbit which was the most expensive part of the order. I'm sure I'll hear something soonOwned by [STRIKE]4[/STRIKE] 4 cats: 2 x Maine coon cross males, 1 x Pixie Bob male and[STRIKE] 2[/STRIKE] 1 x Norwegian Forest male....cute!

Same here, no email, no explanation, no refund and still no rabbit
The full amount has been debited from my account. I have sent a letter asking for a reply within 14 days.
What a disgusting way to treat customers.0 -
Lori777 I honestly think there has been some kind of family or medical emergency: I can't see any other reason they'd close the business so suddenly having added items on the website only a month before. They have been a good reliable company to date, as far as I can see an increasing customer base so I don't think they have gone bust.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

I agree
It was so quick. so unexpected.
It was the first thing I thought to be honestSometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
Unless they were doing something illegal!“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0
