Tory lead drops to 5%...... Hung parliament?

He was an advisor to John Major (in the Tory party not in Government).
I think he's great - an interesting writer with a lot of good points to make.
Here's the Finkelstein article if anyone is interested in reading it;

Tories: 37%
Labour: 32%
Lib Dems: 19%
Less than a 9% lead = hung parliament territory.......
Integrity of numbers doubted by someone who has a clue.

We are one of the most if not the most indebted country per person in the world. Are people therefore surprised that the average voter would rather more of lets borrow until we drop and hope we win the lottery to pay it back rather than the lets be sensible and live within our means approach?
In some ways I agree with those who wonder whether the Tories are actually bothered about getting in now. Recent data just confirms what a mess the country is in. May as well let Labout get back in let the country find out what really going on over the next 9-12months and then no on will question the Tories about how to sort the mess out.
It seems today that GB is still trying to get rid of Darling I wonder why. Its all about spend spend spend.0 -

Who at least has the honesty to close his article with the following.....
"I know that this is me being mischievous and highly selective"
“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Last time Labour wrecked England, we had North Sea Oil to magic away all the years of bungling. Of course, that once-in-lifetime endowment was still squandered by northerners on t'dole, in comparison to Norway which built a multi-trillion $$ sovereign fund and put in border controls as tight as a gnat's whotsit.
Now we've got the ££ billions debt again, but Britain has nothing to offer the world except lardy chavs, illegals, ranting islamics, corrupt politicians, useless jobsworths in the public sector and two generations of cretins coming from schools/'universities'.0 -

Actually he does not.
Let me complete the quote for you as you are struggling with it.
"...but it does show the massive challenge phone pollsters face - because of the systemic problem of the over-sampling of Labour past voters. ""There's no such thing as Macra. Macra do not exist."

we are in a disaster now , thanks to gordon . sometime sooner or later the debt has got to be tackled , it will be painful , but it is something that you cannot put off forever . considering we have supposedly just come thru 10 - 12 years of a booming economy , why is it that we are broke , i think most people would agree that you do not cure debt by borrowing your way out of it , all gordon has done is postpone the enevitable , putting his wishes to stay in power , regardless of the cost to the country , the man is a menace to society and if he were working for a proper company would have been sacked years ago0 -

actually i think you can and many economists suggest this. national debt is not the same as household debt. in a capitalist model many businesses require access to debt in order to grow / see them through difficult times. Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0 -

it still has to be paid back tho - if you can't have money put away in the good times , what are you going to do when things go wrong0 -
The Conservatives should be miles ahead of Labour as a result of recent labour gaffs and months of poor decision making. The fact they are stuggling to match popularity of labour is a poor show indeed for Cameron...... new, fresh, revitalising ideas needed, and fast!
Could Cameron survive losing this election to Labour??0
