Economic opinions are like !!! holes. Everyone has one. For every "expert" who supports Labours plans you can find people who support the Tories plans.
It is all merely background noise."There's no such thing as Macra. Macra do not exist."
"I could play all day in my Green Cathedral".

Can you provide me with a direct quote from the head of the IMF saying that Osborunes plans for the economy are wrong especially in view of the fact that Osbourne has not actually put any real plans forward other that we should start cutting the debt now. Also are you surprised that a socialist would appear to support Labour over the Tories?
Please also provide quotes from the BOE and the Markets whilst your at it.0 -

oh right. i'll just add "economic expert" to my CV and apply for a job as head of the bank of england or even the IMF. they obviously just throw all the names in the bag and pull an !!!!!! out.....
think you said it all. experts support labour whilst some "people" might support the tories!
i guess with a 2:1 in history and as part of the anglo-irish aristocracy osborne was the most suitably qualified !!!!!! the tories could come up with. Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0 -

i think the head of the imf has got better things to do than comment on the non-policies of the british shadow cabinet. Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0 -

He probably does. So maybe people can stop posting these comments about him and Osbournes polices then in view of the fact that he has not commented on them. I'm not sure he has even said that he agrees with the way the UK is being run at the moment and Darlings plans for dealing with the debt correct.0 -
If the next election doesn't give any party a majority, Gordon Brown as Prime Minister (he's still Prime Minister after the election as he resigns his Government not his post) gets to try to form the Government first. As Ted Heath did after the 2/74 election.

Of course the Tories haven't announced their policies. It's pretty simple politics for the Opposition not to announce their policies prior to an election being called! Labour did the same thing in 1997 and 1992 and 1987 and 1983.0
