Has anyone suffered from a rash they believe might be from a certain washing powder brand?
Specifically, has anyone had any rashes they suspect are due to Tesco's brand?0 -
I have always used Persil and nothing else until a few months ago when Tescos own brand 2 in 1 was on sale for £1 for a box of 20 I think it is and I find it is very good and even better than Persil cos I dont need to add any conditioner,,,,but I cannot get the same non bio from tescos anymore...think they have changed it to a different packaging .....
My daughter has sensitive skin, I use both Lidl Non-Bio tablets and the Aldi equivalents. I find them very good, incidentally I only use one tablet unless it's a particularly dirt washload.0 -
Incidentally we have a septic tank and I was told by one of the other people in the village to only use liquid washing stuff as the powders and tablets tend to sludge up the system. Makes sense to me.NO EXCUSES - THIS YEAR IT'S PERSONAL..........0

I used to work for a factory packing salad and sauces into the fresh pack that you will find in all supermarkets. (they used all the same ingredients ) everything was the same up untill the packing . when a different label was stuck on or it was put into a different bag

Opposite to what it says here about the build up of sludge and slime in your washing machine

I graduated 22 years ago and in my first marketing lecture our lecturer told us about this. It shocked me at the time cos like most people I believed the marketing. However I've tested this many times over the years and been proved right many, many times and tell everyone I know. The things that dont taste the way you like you just put down to trial and error but 9 times out of 10 you cant really tell the difference. Its not only at the supermarket but all types of goods. Just do your homework and the savings are there to be had0

These are one of the most sensitising ingredients for people with excema and why anyone would want to put paraffinium liquidim ("Baby Oil"!) on their skin or their babies is beyond me.Try using Hemp oil ,Olive oil,Rosehip Oil ( cold pressed)on your skin you will be suprised.
Same with bar soap used to use imperial leather can't now biggest ingredient in all bar soap sodium tallowate (cow, pig, goat fat you are washing yourself with lard!) a host of preservatives (to stop it going off)and parfum to mask the lovely (sic!) natural smell.
Real soap is made with olive, palm oil or other nut seed oil and has little or no preservatives.
Now I say If I cant eat it I wont use it.
Ecover make fantastic cleaning products which are all vegetable based and super biodegradable,I use their washing up liquid as shower gel with no problems.
I buy real vegetable soap from health food stores.
Skincare from Weleda www.weleda.co.uk
I think that Weleda baby cold weather cream -is like a cheaper, healthier version of Elizabeth Arden 24 hour cream! Sainsbury's even sell it on their pharmacy counters and it is all natural- no sles or anything. SLES is banned in most US states for being cancer causing!
I was so impressed by this post, there is NO WAY I will put this stuff near my children.
Thank you so much!:T0
