My daughter swears by her GHD @ £80, ive got £40 kodo ones, compared them by looks and theres not a lot of difference...
anyone know????
loops
I think it depends on hair type. I have very thick, wavy, longish hair and GHDs are the one's for me! I've have had other makes but GHDs are brilliant for my hair, which on a good day looks like a 1970's disco wig!!! :eek:You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.

JollyNolly wrote:Sorry to be picky about this, do you mean Sainsbury's washing up liquid
(comes in transparent plastic bottles, about four different flavours) or Sainsbury's "Original" (cheaper) washing up liquid
, comes in a white bottle, only one variety...??
the transparent plastic bottle.
thats the only washing up liquid we buy now in our house because I know from our testing at work it is the best value washing up liquid out there.
hope that helps!Certified Resident Wanty Stalker #001

Rats! I was hoping you'd say the other one, it's 22p a litre cheaper!£2 coin savers club: £1.49

it may be cheaper but it wont clean as well or as many dishes as the transparent one. why not try them both out and see what you think. i think the sainsburys one isnt that expensive though.Certified Resident Wanty Stalker #001

Caught onto this thread rather late!
I have been using 1.5 washing tabs instead of 3 in the washing machine (we are in a vary hard water area) for ages - I find the best way to divide them is to use an old paring knife that has gone a bit blunt!! Don't use anything too sharp - they disintegrate! My washing comes out clean and fresh (apart from football gear, but I've tried the full dose on that and it makes no difference!!)What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
I have worked for both Magnet and Homebase selling their kitchens, in both roles I have had a tour of the factory. Both company's kitchen cabinets are made in the same factory, but there are a few differences:
1) Homebase's wall units are deeper than Magnet's (Can fit dinner plates)
2) The backs of Magnet's cabinets are 1mm thicker than HB's
3) Magnet's units are ready assembled
All of the materials apart from that are identical. They don't publise the fact they are made in the same place, HB's kitchens say they are made by Nobia, which is Magnet's parent company. HB staff get into trouble if they say that they are the same at Magnet.0 -

There were quality differences in the units they supplied to different retailers - the quality of the foil (or veneer) and the density of the interior particle board. That's not to say that Magnet and Homebase are not the same, but Magnet did usually aim for higher quality materials than others.
Also, don't forget that the units you order are probably not in stock when you buy them, but are made in large batches. Some retailers will stock more in the UK to be able to fulfil orders more readily. Others may have poorer stock control and keep you waiting weeks for a single piece - you'll have seen the stories in the papersJumbo
