    Have you tried Lush?

If you phone your local branch you can check the ingredients and they could probably suggest what would suit your skin! :):):)

Just surfing the web for some Vera Wang and Lagerfeld, and it took me to the Unilever UK site, so is there a hypothetical link there somewhere with Persil?

Shoka thanks for that feel sick but thanks nonetheless. I an a veggie and I use Imperial Leather. I am shocked. You may think I am naive but I had no idea. It seems whatever soap etc I use I come out in blotches except the bodyshop.

Does anyone else recommend any type of soap which is good for sensitive skin and is not made out of pig etc.

I know where my imperial leather is going . . .
Try Using PEARS soap no animal ingredients (vegetable oils anf glycerine) lasts ages natural essitial oils or try finding soap from SUMA health co-op excellent.
Lush stuff is full of preservatives and colourants.

all of these products are made from petrochemicals, the waste from oil refining.

Same with bar soap used to use imperial leather can't now biggest ingredient in all bar soap sodium tallowate (cow, pig, goat fat you are washing yourself with lard!) a host of preservatives (to stop it going off)and parfum to mask the lovely (sic!) natural smell.

Real soap is made with olive, palm oil or other nut seed oil and has little or no preservatives.

Being made from plants doesnt make soap 'real', fat is fat, oil is oil. Remember that your skin is largely made of animal fat!

And vaseline is pure petroleum jelly, and is very good is you have eczma or dry skin - a much better moisturizer than anything water or cream based. Remember Oil is dead plants and animals from millions of years ago that has been buried and you cant get much more natural than that!

This may be a posting of the obvious to most of you, but there is some people that are not aware that many car companies produce car under differant brands that are effectivelly based on the same design and just packaged differant to appeal to differant market segment. The following is not an exhaustive (sic) list, but mearly examples (cheapest car to the right)
    • Audi TT = Audi A3 Mk1= VW Golf Mk4= VW Beetle = Skoda Octavia Mk1= Seat Leon
    • Saab 9-3 = Vauxhall Vectra
    • Jaguar X-Type = Ford Mondeo = Mazda 6
    • Peugeot 407 = Citreon C5
    • Porsche Cayenne = VW Touareg
    • Mercedes CLK = Chrysler Crossfire
    • Lotus Elise = Vauxhall VX220
    • Smart Forfour = Mitsubushi Colt
    • VW Sharan = Ford Galaxy = Seat Alhambra
    • Vauxhall Astra = Pile of Poo
I'm sure there are many more

Unilever also own, bovril amd marmite as well as pot noodle and hellmans mayonnaise.

If you are ever convinved that 2 shops 'own' brands are the same meat and fish items need to have the manufacturing site code on usually UK123 EEC in an oval.

Seen this thread with interest, and just a few things:

A lot of beauty houses are owned by the same company, eg, estee lauder and creme de la mer. Although they do not volunteer the information, they will not withold it, so it is easy enough to go and ask which other companies they are linked with at the counter. A lot of the time, when buying the more expensive products, they will argue that you are buying the technology five or ten years ahead of the stuff on the shelves, but I am sure it is down to personal preferance.

Also, mineral water companies will often bottle the same product, but aim it at a different market and so sell one brand at a lower price. If you look at the source and check for natural mineral water, you will be able to fine the same poroduct at a lower price!
