Well done on surviving meeting. Keep doing what you are doing. It is not until you are pushed that you realise how amazing you are and the opportunities that exist. Ps i haven't been online motherboard, power supply thing etc needed changing cost £300 in total. Dang why can't we use smoke signals or pigeons anymore?

Well, Im back. I am well, I am clean, I am still employed.
The last few weeks, since the football have been very unproductive. The laptop going down, my general mood, and my finances have all been, well crap really. I became demotivated and lethargic. I have allowed teh finances to drift and have spoent far more than I wanted or needed to on things that I would have consisted wasteful. I also have not been able or I doubt whether I would have been bothered if able to list anything on ebay so my secondary income stream dried up completely. Finally the hit I took from the father in law for the 2K cleaned me out totally.
But I am back. I am feeling better and now ready to look at the finances, make the adjustments neccessary to push back on. To this end I have managed to do a balance transfer to the new nationwide 17 month 0% CC which will really help.
My slush fund was completely destroyed by the 2k hit and that needs to be worked on immedately. I will look at the snowball update that this weekend.
I have two days at work, then off sunday through tuesday, then we have the build up to the royal wedding. I am hoping that I can get a days overtime on friday, dealing the with 300,000 extra people on the system out to celebrate in London.
Have planted out most of the seedlings and they are doing well. We have carrots (purple & orange), beans, peas, cucumbers, corgettes, lettuce, sweetcorn, dwarf beans, brocolli and tomatoes. Ohh and loads of strawberrys!
Back soon, keep the faith.0 -
Mr W, you sound really positive about it all. Good on you. I was going to go to London to celebrate but best friend has talked me out of it. Bet it will be manic. Poor you.
Strawberries, yum.
Off to get Easter eggs for Newcastle meet on Friday. Have a good day. Sounds like you will.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
Just had a "discussion" with my eldery neighbour. He was just about to spray our joint fence with weedkiller and asked if it was pet friendly. He didn't think it was so I asked him not to use it. He couldnt understand my objections despite the fact that several cats (including mine) travel through the gardens, and also I have just planted a crop of brocolli behind the fence. After about five minutes, I persuaded him not to use it, and I would dig out the weeds for him. I told the wife this and she said yesterday she was in the garden a overheard a conversation between him and a "gardener" as they discussed what to do about the weeds and the costs! Guess I am the cheapest option.0

Ages ago i said you would make a great gardener. I would have words with the neighbours tell them you are not cheap you are worth your weight in gold to us.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

A gloriously beautiful day, spoilt only by the fact that I have had to work. Ho hum. I am sitting in my garden, surrounded by my growing veg, my children, wife, cat, several butterflies and very large bumblebee. These days are what I live for. For dinner garlic and herb rotisserie chicken, with a fresh green salad, pasta and an ice cold Magners with loads of ice.
Have not done anything about the finances. I am off work on sunday for three days and plan to really look at them then.0
