Right i had to weigh myself at hospital last week and i weigh more than i have ever done before (52kg oops). I cannot afford to buy new clothes so i am giving up crisps and if you are doing tai chi i will jump on Flipping trampoline so i can lose weight easily! I must lose 4 kilograms so i am down to my usual weight. oh no does that mean i have to eat porridge for breakfast? i draw the line at that.

Gang we are in it together. Mr W if it is too hard why dont you swim for longer or do something you enjoy more?

Try Qigong - it is easier. (Except there are so many different schools in Qigong that finding the one that suits you might be tricky.)

  • Now this is where everyone goes wrong- trying to do things unpronounceable.. Stick to the Shred ( Jillian Michael's off the US Biggest Loser) and you won't go wrong.
    1. I can pronounce it
    2. It is in three levels ( these are hard but doable)
    3. It gets results

tai chi is wonderful when you get the hang of it ... it is very relaxing ( when you have it sussed obviously ) try some deep breathing before you start and as your doing it .... see if that helps
  • Have decided on the following:

Tai Chi is bloody difficult & I have no co-ordination. However, I will persist and learn, albeit slowly. I will break it down and learn one or two moves a day until I feel I have mastered them. Then I will add another move and so on and so forth. It may take a month it may take 2 years but I will master it slowly but surely. The deep breathing before hand sounds good. Who knows, I might make it onto utube!
  • Hello everyone. Today, I got up real late...1145am! I think all the crap I am dealing with, and the lack of sleep in the preceeding few weeks finally caught up with me. This however didnt please my wife whom I had promised to get up early today. Anyway, I cracked on with buying the constituent parts for the door, cutting, assembling and sanding until finally its ready and installed. Of course, it needs painting, and I show off my handiwork to the wife who says..."it's not finished" and walked off. I could scream! I really could. Time for dinner then relax for an hour then try the first moves in tia chi.
