Sounds good, until the last line. Is that all you want, a letter of reassurance? I'd be after compensation.

Due to this failure on the part of Thomas Cook we believe we should be entitled to some form of compensation, as we booked under the idea all our family and friends could attend and this has been changed. If your customer service team can not make us feel happier about our upcoming wedding with Thomas Cook we will very publicly start investigating another way compensation can be claimed, and see if this has happened to other couples.

Just an idea, Thomas Cook !!!! me off though, they were the ones who put us in that Dive in Egypt.

Right, here's my tale of woe! Written in between phone calls at work so might sound a little bitty! What do you think?

I am writing to express my upset and anger relating to changes made by your company regarding my wedding in the Dominican Republic next year.

Having never flown with you before we felt that we were taking a risk in booking our wedding, the most important holiday of our lives, with you but we did so because of the monetary saving you could give us against Thomson and the convenience of your flights.

i wouldn't say you went with them cos they were cheaper, I would say that "at the reccomendation of friends who have used them before, alongside the saving, and the convieniance of the flights..."

something like that, then it sounds more like we know your a good company so why has this happened?

hope you get things sorted out though

Right I've got my letter (with fixings/additions) printed out and one is going to the customer relations people and one is going to the CEO just in case! ;) Gotta aim high and all that...

OH has just told me that one of his Aunts has booked for 2 weeks so that's a 'Yay!' :j That's 15 people coming now! :j

Fingers crossed for you Birdie - I'm having a nightmare at the moment too. My passport ran out this month, so I sent off for a new one (about £80 for one now if you use the check and send service too). I specifically asked the post office if I would have to pay for a new passport when I get married in April, and they said it should just be the same as your driving license - you just send them your new details! However, when my passport arrived, it came with a slip of paper saying that now they have biometric chips in them, any change of details means you have to buy a brand new passport!!! I've complained to the passport office as I think it's an absolute rip-off, as you pay for 10 years, and I'm only getting 10 months' use out of it, and they've just referred me back to the post office!!

Be warned, anyone who is thinking of changing their passports before a name-change, if they don't have to!
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
