So sorry to hear about your issues
Went through similar when I was 16 and breaking up with first love. He found it difficult and threaten suicide. Followed my heart and moved on and the truth be told so did he. incredibly quickly, more quickly than me, with new partner and child. We never know what is around the corner. Only you know what is best for you. Your family and friends will support you whatever your decisions
