My friends Dad was a presiding officer so his family always help with the count and my friend put my name down. I would just ring your Council Offices and ask them, I don't know how everyone else there got on it sorry.
Money not loads, but not too bad, £142 before tax for 8 hours work, I didn't finish till 5.30 in the morning, but I didn't mind as it was quite interesting. Lots of different people from the parties watch you count and try and keep a tally on their clipboard as u go which was quite funny! It was also nice to see them announcing the results live on telly as everyone starts cheering, whilst we stood their looking bemused!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Had a random spare penny in my bank so paid it off Lloyds, as much to irritate them as anything!
