Just caught up with reading all these pages, you dont go on the boards for a couple of days and the next thing is there are loads of pages to catch up on. Reading them is helping with paying off debts as i have a way to go, my debt free day or year should be 2013 which since this is the year i will be fifty, will be the best present i could have, to be debt free since i was in my early twenties. One thing i know once out of debt i will not be going to end up like this again, having you guys around is making this journey easier, keep up with the good work .

Woowoo have a great night out but its to cold for me think i will have a hot bath instead.xx
:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.00
  • Ok, so this may be totally off topic! sorry! But....

I think I may need to start a diary....in my wisdom of thinking I could save money, I decided that I could bake my sons 12th Birthday cake myself....so far I have ordered nearly £35 worth in "stuff" for it?!?!?! I am sure I could pick one up cheaper!! Grrrr! I annoy myself sometimes! Woop £22 every 5 days reserve here I come :(:(:(

Wow what a selfish post sorry! lol xxx

Also Yum pumpkin pie your spend will not be for 1 birthday cake but for lots of birthday cakes in the future. I rarely buy a birthday cake. My girls and I make them which means we spend quality time making, icing cakes and then cleaning up afterwards:j

Debt free for your fiftieth will be the present ever, it's a milestone birthday and what a celebration you'll be having!

My LBM was inspired by a friends 47 year old mum who owed as much as me, it made me realise that if I carry on like this I will owe triple by the time I reached her age.

Thanks Penny, it actually feels real now that I will at some point, hopefully in the not too distant future, be debt free x

Yum - Penny makes a good point, the initial outlay has been expensive, but just think of all those yummy cakes you will get to eat!

Well I only have £2.20 left from my £30, but at least I didn't spend my emergency tenner!

My head hurts and I am kind of deaf this morning! I found my shoes on the kitchen table when I got up?

Time for another cuppa I think, before shower and dog walk!

Ah this is true actually! I have juggled some things this morning which hopefully will stop the OD charges. I really did need the stuff I guess as I want to make lots of cakes and things over Christmas which should save money as well...:j
