Hello peeps! I've been awol a bit the last few days. Life's getting in the way of keeping up with the forum but I'm doing my best to visit blogs and comment. With the lovely weather our little garden is keeping me busy and I have managed to make a couple of cards this week. I'll blog them as and when I find challenges to enter them into.
For whoever asked about challenges, the Pile It On site is good (already mentioned). Also once you've entered your card for a particular challenge, click on a few of the other entries to see what challenges they also entered theirs into, I find a few that way. As for multiple challenges, I perhaps find a sketch challenge, then look for one with maybe particular colours or embellies then use those incorporated into the card for the sketch. That way you've covered 2 or 3 challenges already, then checking other peoples entries you're bound to find a couple more they fit into.
Rusty - what a pig of a doctor. When my OH injured his back many many years ago he was in the fire service (accident at work caused it, unfortunately before the time of massive compo for work accidents but he did get invalided out with a tiny invalidity pension) and I remember the pain he was in. Only time I've seen him cry! Anyway, to cut down on the long wait to even see a consultant on the NHS he went private for a diagnosis and luckily he saw the top man in the area who, once diagnosed, pushed forward his operation. Maybe it was becase he was in the fire service and they wanted to see if they could get him back to work but it certainly speeded things up for him. He only saw him privately once, after that everything was done through the NHS.
Also ScattyJan - fantastic news about the house :T.
There's a couple of you going on holiday - have a wonderful time and I hope the weather holds and warms up a bit.
Sorry, I know I've missed a lot out but there's too many pages to read back so it's a general hugs to anyone who needs them, congrats to those who've achieved something - someone's hubby got good news from the hospital??? Sorry I can't remember who but fantastic news.
I've got a busy rest of the afternoon and am out with friends tonight. If I don't get back have a fantastic bank holiday everyone.0 -
Right dashing on and off. Have friends wedding this evening and have to get me and the two children ready and everything laid out for OH to fly in, through shower and out. Dread to think how the children are going to be. DS will be shattered as end of term and up in night with nightmares, usually he sleeps through. DD has had an hour sleep this afternoon so she should keep going and then will hopefully zonc in the pushchair. Still haven't got anything together for going away so think it will tomorrow evening rather than day that we get away.
Has anyone seen on their travels a template for a greenhouse. It is only the front I want and know I could do it myself but would be so much easier to just print a template off. Started commenting on blogs last night and then got side tracked by the link to Stitchy and before I knew it 6 were in my basket. Will have to print them off to take with me to colour.
Have nice evening everyone.

Wow, what a thread. Hello all, just found this thread and think it looks amazing!
I havent had time to look at it all, there is so much.
I am fairly new to card making. Tend to just make them for family and friends, but feel I need to take them to the next level, so any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
They need to start looking a bit more classy!
Some of your pictures look great!
Could someone tell me what promarkers do? I've never heard of them, but I like the sound of them!May - £251.63/£155, June - £108.69/£150, July - £157.45/£155, Aug - £104.28/£155

Wanna b rich Your card is simply stunning, no other words for it, can I be cheeky and ask you which colours you used and how you blended them, thanks
Addams Welcome to the thread, I get some of my ideas by stealing borrowing ideas from blogs
Have made two cards today, tried to upload them onto blogger but it won't let me, will have another try tomorrow
TomsMom Thanks for that site, will have to be brave and try and work out how to actually enter some challenges, might make me a bit more organised with making cards
