Thanks for that paddington. I figured they might be something like that. Very tempting!
I think I will have a look at a few blogs too. Thanks mad-frog.

Wow, what a thread. Hello all, just found this thread and think it looks amazing!
I havent had time to look at it all, there is so much.
I am fairly new to card making. Tend to just make them for family and friends, but feel I need to take them to the next level, so any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
They need to start looking a bit more classy!
Some of your pictures look great!
Could someone tell me what promarkers do? I've never heard of them, but I like the sound of them!
ProMarkers are alcohol based pens, which when coloured look very professional as they dont leave the streaky marks you get with normal markers. FYI they are currently on offer in Hobbycraft for £4.74 for a pack of 5, which is a pretty good deal so far!HTH xx
So much for 'Money Saving'0 -
hi don't know if this is of any use to anyone but I saw something today and thought of you lot
are the promarkers you all rave about made by letereset ??
if so packs of five are half price in hobbycraft they're now £4.74
hope this helps someone0 -
Thank you all for your help. I have spent ages looking through sites and marvelling at the wonderful cards. I think I may have to go and put some of these thoughts into practise!May - £251.63/£155, June - £108.69/£150, July - £157.45/£155, Aug - £104.28/£155
Sept - £110.80/£150, Make £5 a day in Oct challenge = £50.50/£1550 -
Flourgirl, so glad you liked the card, Jack insisted on sending you one to say thank you and he likes to write them himself. His writing isn't the neatest but as he's only 6 I don't think it's too bad xxx
Melissa, Robin Hood was good, not brilliant but pretty good. I like Russell Crowe sometimes and he was excellent in this so long as you didn't listen to his carp English accent! I have news, I have just ordered myself a BigShot :j :j :j Do you have any links for cheapie Nesties?
Rusty, so sorry your feeling down, start openining the pressies, they may cheer you up?
Sorry I'm not up to date with blogs, hope to sort that tonight as OH is away tonight so it's just me, the laptop, telly and a bar of chocolate
Hope everyone who is going away has a fabby time xxx:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Marg - thank you so much for the box and verse that will be fab to do for the nursery. I've seen something similar years ago but didn't have a clue where to look for the verse. Thats fab, I'll add it to my list of things to try.
Oh dear I might end up having to go to Hobbycraft for more promarkers, you are all tempting me too much...
I went to a parents art workshop at my dd school this afternoon and had a fabulous time. We had to draw around ourselves and then colour in the body shape using our answers to some questions. So things like if you were a vegetable what would you be? If you were a piece of furniture what would you be? Which element are you? What colour? what building would you be? Which book would you be? there was one more but can't remember it now. It was badly attended with only 4 mums turning up but I loved every minute of it. Any excuse to something big and arty with someone elses craft supplies! My daughter (aged 6) has since decidedI am now banned from all school activities as I'm naughty and too embarrassing!0 -
wanna-b-rich - your card is stunning!!! I love the monochrome look - very classy, I can't believe you made the flowers and vines yourselves - they're amazing!
Addams - hi and welcome to the thread!!!!
Rainmac - I can just imagine his attempt at a Nottingham accent!!! Why do they always pick Americans to play Robin Hood????? The only place that I've seen nesties cheap was that site that only had a few for sale - do you want me to send you the link again???? I've only got 3 sets so far - I fancy getting the ovals next!0 -
