Padster - I'm very sorry I've run out of time to enter your challenge :( - I'm having problems with my eyes & DH has suggested (quite rightly:eek:) that I should rest them, no cards, no PC, no reading. All the things I love. I can't see that I'll be able to keep it up for very long, if at all, but think it's sensible to try. Ironing listening to the radio just doesn't 'do' it. I intend to seek proper advice from optician tomorrow.... as it could be Christmas before I get to see my GP!

I think the GP would probably refer you to the optician anyway. My Step Dad had problems late last year and was referred to a very good optician as they have all the equipment to check the eye out thoroughly, before they being referred onto the eye hospital. Take care of yourself and let us know how you get on.

What ways do you all find the best for storing your ribbon.

I have a 9L Really Useful Box full of yard lengths after going a bit mad in the Poppicrafts closing down sale. I know I am going to get very fed up with them all tangling up.

I don't want to spend money out on something and then find it doesn't really work. I have seen this Ribbon Ring storage and wondered if anyone uses it or similar?

Not getting any crafting done this weekend, but am finally sorting out the downstairs cupboard so I can have my craft stuff in there and see what I have rather than having to rummage through numerous boxes and carriers trying to find things.

Tired mom this is how I store my ribbons, I made my own out of strong card using my punches though rather than buying them. it wirks really well for me!

I wondered about making them myself but decided it would take forever with a craft knife. Can I ask what punches you used to make the slits please.

Oh Marg hope everything goes ok for you. Optician saw first signs of my diabetes so well worth a visit. I can see why the ironing doesn't do it for you either. :rotfl:

Tired mom . Could you use a circle punch like they do for the thread cards on cross stitch? I got a fabby ribbon bag from jenny for all my smaller lengths and i'm having a rail put up for the reels.

I used my fiskars ribbon border punch, first from one side of the card and then from the other so they matched up in the middle IYSWIM, then I used my crop a dile to make a hole at the top to thread thm onto keyrings, then I have the keyrings threadd onto a dowel rod mounted underneath my shelf onto the brackets

Could you use round punches like they do on cross stitch thread charts .Possibly not just a thought . A small oval punch may work or one of those that punches holes for ribbon threading through iyswim. ignore me i'm rambling again . :rotfl:

    Hello Everyone

Hope you're all enjoying the weekend.

I've decided that seeing as I don't use either my Cricut or my Cuttlebug that I may as well sell them. I've only opened them both and used them both once, so if anyone is insterested in them before I advertise them, just let me know.

On a different note, does anyone know of anywhere that will cut paper to size? I need to do 200 pocketfold wedding invitations and the paper measures 19.50 x 8.50 - I have the template, just need it cutting! lol

    Sal
