Sorry but not sure what you mean by CP? I am taking it as crafty place but I know that isn't what you mean?I prefer google reader as I follow so many blogs and some days there are over 600 updates.

Sorry Rusty I should have been more specific. I did mean Crafty Place - I noticed there is an orange Feeds button and when I click it, it puts some posts into Google Reader but not them all. I just wondered if I was doing something wrong. Fantastic weight loss :T:T and sending your hugs too

Gemm Have fun with your craft robo - hope you get it for the long weekend.

Wifey Poor Robbie, thats a wee shame, he must be bored - maybe you should set up a Robbie playgroup :p

Louby How is your LO today. Has his rash calmed down any? It looks like
an allergy rash - maybe it was the oils they used.

Congratulations Tomsmom (and you DIL - quite right for sticking up for herself :T)

DTB good luck with the job

off to check out blogs and comment as i go...
  • heard about the fire on the local radio. It said they finally put it out at 1.30am they don't think any course work has been lost so that is good.

They had a really big fire there 5 years ago, where a gas main ruptured. So much coursework was lost that since then all students have to take it home. Its abit of a pain but i bet the 6th formers are relieved.
They were still the dampening down at 6 this morning. I had to take OH to work. If you click on more photos you can see it still smouldering :(

Will catch up on everything later, im supossed to be out at lunch :rotfl: oops :D
furrypig says:my name is Choccy and I am addicted to nose free stamps as I want to save them all and give them noses!!!:rotfl:
About me. Im Choccy or Chocolate orange depending on where i am.Yes occasionally i am a total looon who spends too long online, but no where near as much £ as her spendy elves do ..:D
  • Wow - you lot have been chatty. I've got 5 minutes, so have skim read the missed posts. Just noticed I can "un - thank" people. How long has that been there?

    Anyway from memory

Lou - Hope your DS is better - when we did baby massage we had to bring a towel to lay them on and that was because a previous groups baby/s had a reaction to the rubber

Rusty - congratualtions on your loss, hope your pain eases up soon

    Tomsmum
    - Congratualtions on your win

Tiredmom - nice to see you back, hope you feel better soon

Thrifty - really feel for you and DS. Hope things soon start moving in the right direction.

Sorry if I've forgotton anyone, but have to dash as I'm due at work in twenty mins. x

Sorry I haven't been posting - I've been catching up when I have a spare moment!

CT1972 glad you liked your stash swap. I'd brought the shrink plastic the day before as I thought the bright pearlescent paints I have would look pretty on it!

Rusty sorry to hear your in so much pain I wish there was some magic wand I could wave to make it all go away. I'm glad the gems arrived safely - do you mind me asking what you're planning to do with them?

Gemm ooh you lucky thing ordering your Craft Robo! I was going to order mine on my next pay day but OH has told me that i'm not allowed to and just to wait until my birthday unless he tells me otherwise.

Choccy lucky no-one was hurt in the fire and your son isn't missing any school. When we were at school we got so excited when anything like that happened as it meant extra time off! I think we even had a week off when the heating broke down lol

Louby glad to hear your son is better as that rash sure did look nasty...

JHB like you say any job is better than nothing and well done for finding something so quick! The guitar course sounds interesting - i've always wanted to learn how to play.

Paddington sorry to hear your down. I love your new challenge idea and will be creating a card to enter at the weekend (especially as I haven't entered one in ages).

Can't remember who was having to fill in DLA forms, luckily I don't personally know anyone who's had to go through that but my heart goes out to you. Hopefully it's not too distressful and leads to the outcome you're wishing for.

    xxx

padster - just re-read your post. Sorry to hear your having problems; as others have said, I hope the sun comes bursting through your grey cloud soon x
Rusty - well done! Sorry to hear you're still in pain, hopefully the weight loss will help. I know from experience that whenever I put on weight, my back pain increases.
TomsMom - well done to your d-i-l! My sister should be doing her own bit of a$$-kicking this evening. My 13 year old nephew got his hand slammed in a door at school yesterday; his hand swelled up almost immediately and he was in lots of pain. The supply teacher said "Oh, looks like it's broken", then left him to get on with the class. Teacher in the next class complained that he didn't produce enough work in the lesson (it was his right hand that he hurt and he's right handed so couldn't write very well!); then in his final class of the day the teacher told him to shut up and stop disturbing the rest of the class, also telling him that she was "glad it's parents' evening tomorrow, I'll be having a word with your parents". Damn right she'll be having a word with his parents! My b-i-l took him to a&e after school and his knuckle is broken! Not one teacher thought to send him to see the nurse, or phone his parents to say that he'd been hurt.
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)
  • Just a quicky to say (((hugs))) to Padster and to Rainmac - you both know where we are if you need us.

Choccy - omg at those pictures . It is a good job the 6th formers were taking their coursework home.

TomsMom - well done on your win :T:T:T. Well done to your dil :T but ((hugs)) to her as well. You have to fight so hard to get a diagnosis. Then you have to fight to get support for your diagnosis. Then you have to fight to get money to live because the support you need in order to be able to work isn't available. So much for Care in the Community - the whole system is a nightmare.

What I would say though is if your dil has the strength, to try to get a diagnosis before dgs reaches 16. The consensus of opinion on different forums seems to be that it is so much harder to get a diagnosis once the person is in the care of the adult services. My ds was seen by the high school's Educational Psychologist (after years of seeing CAMHS) two months before his 17th birthday. She immediately diagnosed Aspbergers - his ADOS score was nearly off the chart for heaven's sake but CAMHS would not commit. Talk about feeling the door closing behind you on the way out. Send her my love, Thriftyxxx

Sorry to snip you. OMG  at your nephew's hand and what an appalling state of affairs regarding the teachers. Surely the supply teacher who said "Oh, looks like it's broken" should have been catapulted into action there and then. Ooh, let me at 'em, there'd be hell to pay tonight if it was me, certainly an official complaint for a start.

Rainmac - meant to say earlier. I would love to have a go at making those sets you had on your blog (post it note holder, memo peg and bookmark paperclip) What I wanted to ask was, what size are the scalloped circle and smaller inner circle on the paperclip? I think i read you used dies but I guess I could buy punches providing I know the sizes. Also where did you buy the beautiful little organza bag from? TIA

Thank you to eveyone for the kind comments on my blog. For those of you interested in the punch it was from studio cards about £8 I think. It cuts so that the butterfly stays attached to the card but I have cut it out with a craft knife.
