rainmac how do you find all these challenges to enter your lovely makes into?

Melissa75 It doesn't matter what job we do in our house, it always takes 1000 times longer than we thought, usually OH stomps away in a hissy fit shouting 'I hate this house' :D

Have about 5 card makes on the go, hopefully will get around to blogging them this weekend as OH is away (he is on the PS3 ... so much for missing me) ;) I also have a few box templates I want to make so hope to make some of them too

Have had to sign in again to crafty place as I have forgotten my sign in name.. I am such a numpty :o

I am so sorry but I read the first part of your post and couldn't stop laughing ... I thought you meant some kind of contraceptive device?? :rotfl::rotfl: I don't even know why I thought that but it was just the bit above highlighted which set me off!

You've got me laughing now :rotfl::rotfl:

Louby, does your little one have a temperature? Does he seem happy? I would keep monitoring him and if you don't think he seems right then to get him checked over, bless him xxx

Just a quick pop on from me to sapologise for being awol and then disappear again for a few days.
My extra weeks holiday has made everything a bit rushed - I should have had my Granny's birthday party invitations made last week whilst I was stranded on the continent. So it's all hands to the pump here - "&son" has been helping - which means everything is taking twice as long ;-)
Then, n top of that, my boss has resigned whilst I have been away which means there is a development opportunity for me to step into her role but the job advert closes on Friday and I only got to see it today as have been on a course for the first few days of the week. Have spent this evening working on a pointless cv - I've been working in the department for 7 and a hlaf years now, and for the bank for 14 year so you'd hope they'd know what I have been up to all that time!
Anyhow, the first draft is done - I'll have another look at it tomorrow night and then hand it over on Friday.

Hugs to all who want / need them
Louby - that really is a rash isn;t it - poor little mite. I'd be tempted to take him in for someone to have a look see just for my peace of mind. Did you manage to get hold of OH?

Sorry i haven't been able to read back and reply to anything, but i have had a bit of a panic on to say the least. baby has had a big flare up on his skin and i didn't know what to do. Hubby wasn't answering phone but as he is in the medical profession i wanted his option first before i dashed off to hospital or anything. He does have a skin condition but noting like this

    photo

I did the glass test etc covered him in his cream/oil gave him calpol and he is now slepping on a cold wet towel. Thankfully it is calming down. But i just feel sick now.

Just managed to make and blogg the card i needed to do for tomoz before it all happened. Going to get a cuppa and chocolate bar, don't care it's not a slim fast one i need it.

Oh louby, I do hope he feels better soon! It's so scry when things go wrong with LO's.
Rusty - you made me giggle. Contraceptive device indeed! :rotfl::rotfl:
rainmac - love the box. Computer says no to commenting on blogs tonight!

I've decided to take a step back from the stress of job hunting. I've been offered a few hours a week at the local chippy (wish me luck with the diet, lol!); and while DD is working and paying me board I've worked out that I can manage okay for a few months until hopefully the job market picks up. So, I've signed up for a guitar course (free) and will hopefully be treating myself to my first-ever sewing machine next week. I'm going to try to go all-out for a few weeks crafting for the craft fair in June, and hopefully then set up a Facebook shop.

ETA: Good luck DTB. It's a shame it's such short notice, and what a palaver (sp?) for an internal job!
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)

I know it's so hard when you are completely responsible. My DS2 fractured his collarbone from falling off a bed, I was in the bathroom putting toothpaste on toothbruhses at the time, had been out of the room for 2 minutes tops!

Louby - Check the wee one temp as if it gets too high you can start getting other problems. But you done the right things, keep cool, and paracetamol it calm any temp and to relieve any discomfort. Calamine may help cool it or just damp face cloth. My 2 both have/had really bad excema and used to look just like that when ever going down with a virus. It seemed to be how their bodies reacted. I learnt to stay calm and treat them at home, unless there temps rose too high then I nipped to A&E but they used to just give calpol and ibuprofen, strip them off and stick them in front of a fan.
Take deep breathes and stay calm, bubs will be much more settled just knowing you there. Mummy is the best medicine in the world. My wee boy would only settle if I breastfed him or if he lay skin to skin on my chest.
Doubt any of that will help but thought I'd mention them just in case. Kids, honestly, it doesn't stop when they get bigger I'm afraid :(

I'll send a virtual hug though as still looks adorable, even with the rash :)

    Nici x
