Haven't blog hopped yet but been and looked at your card and it is gorgeous. It really is a keepsake type of card. Sorry I missed that you weren't well and hope you are feeling better soon. Do you children go back the end of this week or have you got a full week to go?
X
another full week they go back Monday their not that bad really just bored cause we haven't been able to go anywhere as I can't walk very far at all.Oh missus, I didn't realise you were feeling so poorly. I feel terrible that you've sent me the bottle tops so quickly - they are completely fab. Hope you got my images ok, if you'd like some more please shout Your latest card is amazing My boys are home till Tuesday next week . This week is sorted with a trip out yesterday, trip to the farm tomorrow, day at home/local park Thursday and then to my mum & dad's on Friday. Nice cheap week mostly spent outside! If the weather is still nice I'm hoping we can go to Warwick Castle on Saturday. I've got tickets through Tesco and haven't been since I was little. My OH is out thursday night so I am going to go craft mad and spread stash everywhere, I daren't do that when he's here as he'd complain about how much I have got .
Glad you got the bottle caps ok I did get the images you sent they were fab thankyou sounds like you have a fab time planned for the rest of the week.paddingtondoo wrote: »Sorry you're off work Dragon - I found crafting was great for pain last year when I was signed off with my shoulder

Well, ladies, I have decided that because you all seem interested in my cards, I have started a blog for my cards and other crafts. Hopefully, this will encourage me to make more cards to post!
I have one question, I can't see the side pretty pattern of my blog at 100% but can when the page is 75%. Any ideas? How do I change it?0 -
Just popping on quickly before I go to make tea.
Nici
Dragonlew Sorry to hear your poorly.
Rusty Jaysus missus - you just don't need this. Massive hugs flying your way
.
Tomsmum - hope you are enjoying your garden.
I know I've read more but sending lots of love to anyone who needs it.
Could do with some tlc myself as feeling a bit battered. Ds and I trekked out to the Autism Centre today by bus (over an hour away) only to find it locked up .
The lad who has Asperger's who my ds is supposed to meet up with once a week "forgot". The carer who they usually have did not pass message onto relief carer that the lads were supposed to meet up at the centre. I am livid with anger (3 out of 4 times this service has failed) and I am torn up inside for my son, this is just repeatedly giving out the message that he is not worth helping. I feel I am failing him but I haven't failed him it is this bl*sted centre that is failing him through 1. Lack of money 2. Cr*p staff (I would have lost my job if I had worked like this) and 3. The centre perceiving him as having lower needs because he is a high functioning autistic not classically autistic and we (his family) have not kicked him out into the care of social services.
If we want appropriate services, we will have to move off this bl*sted island to an area that provides Autism support services. Life is unfair and unjust at times. How do I find peace with this - just don't know what to do now. So sorry for the rant, Thriftyxxx0 -

I am so annoyed that I haven't had my things  Should have waited for my pens and used the bulk buy over on Angel crafts!
I think it has been 15 working days for most of them. They aren't really mine to chase, I guess it's the sellers, but four seperate parcels going missing is very strange.
Oh, no, very sorry to hear about the BIH.
I wasn't sure what it was but I googled and I would guess it's Benign Intracranial Hypertension. Some of the symptoms include headache, visual disturbances, nausea, problems with balance and memory, tinnitus and neck and back pain.
I really hope you don't have to have a lumbar puncture. Please keep us updated, Rusty. xx"There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0 -

I used to live in Solihull and brother used to live in Warwick, new housing estate beyond the racecourse. We used to go to the castle quite often.Oooo Rainmac we went to Warwick Castle a few years ago, we had such a fabby day!! They had a Medieval Fayre going on and lots of Jousting. In the castle there is one bit called something like the Kings Chamber and inside there were displays with waxwork figures and just out of the corner of my eye one moved and I nearly wet myself:eek: it was just a woman dressed up and sat very still. They are quite spooky when they are dimly lit!! Lots of Ghostly happenings and the kids will likely be chased by the rat catcher. There is lots to do and see, probably too much for one day. Ooo I wish I was coming with you!! I would love to go again, maybe I could persuade DH to go this year.
We've been to the jousting isn't it brill. Seem to remember them parading around with a pair of bloomers on one of the jousts for some reason as well. There is also a place called Hatton Craft Centre that we used to go to. I am going back a good few years so not sure what it is like now but it used to be really good.

Afternoon all Well another day of clearing but I can cope because I can now see the top of my landing, its only took over a year to do!! I can't beleave how much rubbish I got rid of  At one point I ventured into the atic & started there too but had to stop myself, thats another day!
My back & hip is hurting so much now but I'm going to cope with it & keep thinking about how nice it is to see the carpet on the landing :rotfl::rotfl:I've told the kids & hubby there is 'No' putting things down on the landing now, everything must go away to its home....wonder how long that will last for!? :rotfl:
I've promised the kids a crafting day tomorrow & no clearing out, Alex has asked if we can do some painting tomo so that will be fun

Me & the boys are having a bit of a lazy week - oh mind you it is only Tue (lol) - we went to the pics to see How to Tame your Dragon - and they loved it - I must admit I did nearly lose it at the end. Since I have had kids - I will cry at anything!!! Haven't got anything else planned - but must try and get out and about a bit more - if the weather improves.
Thrifty- sounds like you are having a nightmare!!! ((hugs)) - at least you know in your heart you are doing all you can for your son - its just the other eejits letting you down - dont give up xx

Hiya - brrrr it's freezing today!!!!! I can barely get my fingers to work!!!!
Rusty - hope this afternoon went well for you. Hope you feel better soon.
Dragonllew - hope you feel better soon as well.
I am annoyed that I didn't order the distress inks on Oyster Stamps sooner, went to place an order earlier today and they are out of stock. I've emailed them to see when they expect to get more in stock.
Today I have been making a cupcake card. Got the basic template from Mel Stampz, someone from here had kindly posted the link her for flowers and I saw she mentioned cupcakes on her blog!!! I'm pleased with the result and have blogged it.The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0 -
Hi all, just wanted to say a lovely thankyou to you all, and thanks for all the texts/emails  you lot are so lovely.
I spent 6 hours and 12 mins in the hospital, car park charges were £7.20
Basically most of that was waiting, I have had various tests on my eyes, and also field vision tests and photos taken of them, I have a prescription for some tablets which could help drain the fluid off my brain but I have been on these before and they haven't helped but I am willing to try anything if it means no lumbar puncture, unfortunately I am playing the waiting game now, I have to wait for an appointment to see a neurologist and see where I go from here, also have to go back to eye department in 3 months I really do appreciate all you lovely ladies, and all of your support! It means so much to me! xxxxxx Oh and my kids are just the best, I am so proud of them, although they moaned and were bored they both really behaved lovely! Tomorrow must be a treat day if the weather is nice!
Anyway back to the nice things ....
Craftygranny - Least she is going to be home and hopefully not too many checkups!! Fingers crossed it has shrunk!! :j hope she has arrived back safely
Angelcrafts - Can't leave my kids with any of my neighbours as I have only lived here 2 years and only know 3 of them, plus they all work apart from the 80 year old next door but can't imagine my kids being well behaved for her!! Will become a stalker/follower of your blog later on when I catch up with them all xx
Rainmac - Ooooh love the little boy!! ... might have to preorder something myself to cheer myself up!! ... going to try and attempt to look through stash tonight, hopefully get yours out to you by the end of the week, sorry for the delay xx
Tomsmum - Hope you enjoyed your natter day! ... looking forward to having a read about your garden
Marg - Meant to say thankyou for the list, it arrived safely and I am sorry but can't remember if I already said thankyou or not ... did you get your ironing done? if so do you fancy coming to do mine? lol only 1 basket so far this week but I have 3 loads still to fold so could end up as another 2 !
JHB - Ooooh a card? think the sun is effecting you! :rotfl: I think you should come back to blogspot, try and log into your old one see if you can get it to work now you have left it. If not then start up a new one! I have 3 blogs on my blogger! although think I deleted the one of them.
Hassy - Sounds like you have been busy, has your mojo returned yet? I often find that if I spend some time in blogland looking at older posts of others then it helps bring insiration! Failing that just ask on here for someone to give you a challenge, I normally ask my OH. Last one was to make a yellow card using my new inkadinkado stamp ... which I did and made 3 cards that day!
Dragonllew - Sorry to sound ignorant but what pain are you in? what have you done? try and relax a little once the children have gone back to school. Give yourself a few hours of *ME* time! Will look at challenge card later on, not touched blogs yet today!
Skiergirl - Hope your back and neck get better soon! X
Padster - love your no ironing idea ... must try that one, what a shame your scabby blind fell down! :rotfl:
Flourgirl - Do you not want to move to the seaside? Then you can childmind for me lol
Thrifty - That is absolutely disgusting!! how can they be so unreliable and rubbish? Have you contacted some kind of MP or something to see if they can help you sort things out? Please don't think you have let him down, it is not you you are doing everything you possibly can! keep your chin up, sending hugs xx
Jazabelle - you are not alone with missing parcels! It annoys me and I would love someone to just come and start up a company to wipe the smug smile off royal mail!! Yup BIH is benign intercranial hypertension, I was diagnosed after I had DS 7 years ago, first lumbar puncture when he was 17 days old  .... apparently it is cause I am fat  but then they seem to blame that on everything! I give up with it all, last lumbar puncture was jan 2007 when I was pregnant with DD  that was horrible
Craftyjuju - sounds like you have been busy! ... it is approx 2 hours since you said wonder how long it will last ... is it still clear?
Right sorry for the mammoth post, and if I have missed anyone it wasn't intentional.... I have the best OH in the world, he called me from work and said don't make yourself any tea I ordered and paid for a curry for you over the phone it will be there soon ... it has arived and it is yummy! bless him. Will try and catch up with blogs in a bit ... letting kids watch a film in DS's room then they can have a bit of a late night, make up for the boringness of the day!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0
